The first half of the season was good.....but 13 episodes for 39.99 isn't worth it. Fox got away with this pricing on Family Guy because of its popularity........but American Dad isn't Family Guy and the price should be more in line with less popular shows.

This show is horrible, mainly because of it's terrible characters. The humor tries too hard and times and the show creates no loyalty to any of the characters in it, making it a show with only surface level humor...which is mediocre at best.

You're wrong. The more niche a title is the more it's going to cost look at the anime section for goodness sake. It's not like Family guy wasn't half the price everywhere when it came out.

That’s not true at all. Niche does not define the pricing of TV show DVD’s. Pricing is normally based on demand relative to content. Some of the best example of niche titles are also some of the cheapest; Strangers with Candy, Aqua Teen, etc. Animes have a distorted pricing scheme because they are foreign titles, so you can not compare the two.

American Dad is not a popular show (I can show you ratings) and for 13 episodes and no extras of value it should be priced accordingly. And similar shows with similar content normally start at $29.99, not $39.99, which would put their released day sale price 6 to 10 dollars less….Family Guy was allowed to be overpriced because it was extremely popular and has a cult following. American Dad has neither.

I like american dad. Its no family guy, but i still like it. Since I am a republican who finds many republicans to be stupid douchebags, the show humors me.

i enjoy it. but sometimes, it is stupid, but that happens with all shows... not just this one. i will admit that i didn't enjoy it first off... but i warmed up to it. i do have to say that some of the jokes and/or comments are better on this show...
