Abc keeps advertising a "new series" for Gilmore Girls. Does anyone know anything about this?

ABC Family is apparently airing the seventh season for the first time starting in June, and thus is advertising it as 'new' since it is new to the network.

That's it.

Let It Go: The "Gilmore Girls" alum stars as a female talkshow host who is dumped by her boyfriend -- and isn't able to follow her own advice of "letting things go." Alex Herschlag is the writer-exec producer, while Mitch Hurwitz, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum are the exec producers. "Let It Go" comes from Sony Pictures TV and Tantamount.

Word from some industry folks is that "Let It Go" pilot is brutally terrible, to the point where some people are urging others to not even bother watching their previews of it.

Rory got so stupid I wanted to punch her in the face. Though I did see the episode where Jess came back, found out she dropped out of Yale, and set her straight. That was a nice moment. But yeah, Jess > Dean > Logan.

I stopped watching soon after I realized Jess wasn't coming back.

I watch the reruns all the time and was so sick and tired of them only having the 1-6th season episodes they on loop forever.

Mitch Hurwitz is a good producer for the most part. Give him some credit. I mean, he did have a part in the most amazing show ever (arrested development). for that reason alone, I might give the show a chance.

and yes. Rory made me so angry. quitting yale. sleeping w/ a married man. come on. really?

Yes, but Mitch also did Sit Down Shut Up....

Anyway as far as the OP's question goes, it's not a new season of GG. It's just that they finally bought the rights to the last season of the show which has never aired on ABC Family before, so it will be "new" to them, but still old in reality.

haha. Dean. He was married to Lindsay (I think that was her name). It was the first time she had sex. And then she had an affair with him to boot. Oh Rory...

This, Logan was a douchebag but Jess had an ego too and both were awful actors
Luke was hilarious and I wanted him to be my uncle

I think I liked Logan more than Jess, but I never pictured actually wanting to date them.
I'd rather not be related to Luke, otherwise I'd be thinking naughty thoughts about a family member, and that's not ok.

I hate people like both of them in real life, yeah none of them were good enough for her-no one's good enough for my Rory
For once you're dirtier than me, I win

Logan seemed sweet, but arrogant and Jess was usually a douchebag. You're good enough for Rory.

He's hot and has amazing shoulders, whatever.

Jess was definitely my favorite of the guys. I loved all the pretentious cultural references. Logan's idea of this was a "Louis Vuitton" bag.

I was so angry when they just dropped his character for a while, and then he randomly showed up again. I always liked him better than Logan. I mean, if your girlfriend dropped out of Yale for no apparent reason, would you just be like, ok? so stupid.

Me too. He was so much nicer than Logan and was actually semi-intelligent. I have no idea how Logan got into Yale - he's a complete idiot in my book.

That's why he's my favorite as well. He's the only one that could compete with Rory intellectually.

I completely agree. It went from being a witty show about a quirky town to a melodramatic drama.

Yeah. Whenever a main character goes off to college, it seems to always be the kiss of death. I guess that's what happened with GG, too.
I did enjoy the Luke/Lorelei thing later on, though. Ha, but of course, it took 5 seasons to get there.

Max? Yeah. That whole storyline began to piss me off because I started liking Max more than I liked her. I wasn't very fond of her during the Max era. She was a bitch to him.

While that's true the idea that people can buy their way into any place kind of bums me out. I know, I know, welcome to the real world.

she really was. I mean, she just ditched him at the wedding.

And she didn't really even give a reason why. She just left town with Rory without telling anyone what was going on. That's pretty cunt-ish if you ask me.

I think that's the thing about Lorelai's character that always bothered me. She was really flaky about a lot of things. And she was always complaining about her awful childhood, but really, she didn't have THAT bad of a childhood. I mean, her parents were demanding perfectionists, but comparatively... I just wished sometimes that she would move on.
