Below is a huge list of all of things The Academy Is... (www.theacademyis.com) and Panic! At The Disco (www.panicatathedisco.com) will be up to this week, particularly today.

The Academy Is... will be performing live on TRL this afternoon. Panic! At the Disco will also be on the show to premiere their new video. They'll be on this week's episode of Discover & Download on MTV. And then The Academy Is... and Panic! At the Disco fly over to the UK to start their tour tomorrow. And that's just what two bands are up to today.

this is the chance for one or both of these bands to blow up. If the TRL fans react like they did for fall out boy they are gonna start selling alot of records.

I saw the P!@TD performance on MTV Live...it didnt quite suck, but it didn't live up to the hype...perhaps it was Brandon's singing.

check out the mtv2 performance its really bad and the panic lead can't even hold a note. his voice is cracking he sounds tone deaf. as well as everyone else on the videos page. their voices are just horrible. its sad when you really get them in a situation where they really have to sing how much production masks how bad their voices are

Tell me if i'm wrong , because i don't listen to this FOB/P!atd sorta music, but is it me, or does the lead singers of both bands sound exactly alike??? what is the hype over these bands?? product of prepackaged music and lots of studio magic. Both bands got very used to the term "AutoTune" during their stay in the studio, and it all unfolds live. Awful vocals.

the guy from panic isn't bad live. he didn't sound so hot on NFT when i saw them, but when they played their tiny stage on the acceptance tour they nailed it. the guy can really sing.

it's funny how were like "no these guys can sing live" well with the amount of cd's these fucking bands sell they should be able to do everything live, taking back sunday who have sold so many cd's r horrible live, ya they have the energy but come on....sing in fucking key.......and panic at the disco would be a good band if fall out boy didn't exsist.....but they both use the exact same melodies and what not it gets old fast

I can see how it would seem that way, but their lead singer was actually super sick that day. I have seen them live like 4 times and when he isn't sick, he is awesome and never misses a note. So, don't be too quick to judge. Sometimes there are reasons for these things.

some people need to freaking get over it. you like panic? be proud of it. it's not a big deal. no one is selling out. besides you people need to learn how to not use that word unless you use it correctly.

It depends what your looking for. What would be the point of going to a show and hearing the CD recreated? I can pop in the CD anytime I want and listen to the studio recording. When I goto a show, I want to see that emotion, I want to feel the band giving every ounce of energy it has. Who cares if they don't hit every note? You can't hear the vocals at a TBS show anyway, the crowd pretty much drones out anything coming from a mic... which creates a pretty damn cool atmosphere if you ask me. If you wanna listen to people sing live and hit every note, you should look into a different genre of music. Just my .02

he has definitely got a point here, but I will under no circumstances support either of these bands...Fall Out Boy made it...that's great, but ya know what, Pete Wentz has had his coattails extended to carry the weight of his buddies....yeah, it's a nice thing to do, but at least help out someone who doesn't sound exactly you and has the chance to pretty much out do you in what you're doing. Fall Out Boy has been doing this awhile and we'll probably get sick of it or implode within the next two years....especially if either, The Academy Is... or Panic! gets remotely popular....bye bye sweet record deal...move over for the youngsters....

exactly. this isn't american idol.

and to all you people that are saying/thinking "i hope they don't become another fall out boy, they're gonna become sell outs, etc." get over it. to me it seems like it's a rule that once a band gets popular on mtv or on the radio, this whole "scene" here isn't allowed to like them anymore. i bet there were tons of people who liked fall out boy before, then they got on mtv and these people stopped liking them because it's now the cool thing to do. i don't understand why everyone has to get their panties in a bunch because a band gets popular. isn't that what bands want? to have their music be heard?

Exactly. Isnt that why when you hear a good band you promote the hell out of them. You buy their merch, you buy their cds, and you buy tickets to their show. You support them 100 percent, which in the long run gets them noticed by mtv, then you turn your backs on what you helped create. What a bunch of bullshit.

Comparing the PRV Acceptance video the FindTheScene Panic! video revealed that they both hit their notes pretty well, not sure what you are basing this on.

None of this makes any sense. None of the other Decaydance bands sound anything like FOB or Panic!, and he certainly still helps them out... Also, why would he not help out his bands/friends? FOB is on Island, and allegedly the other two bands are on Atlantic. How does that jeopardize the recording contract they already have on a completely different label in any way shape or form?

how many times have you seen The Academy Is... live? they are amazing.. their lead singer does a great job.

i'm still trying to figure out which band wagon fills up faster...

the TRL one
or

If you like them and there music doesn't suffer from noteriety it shouldn't matter that they are popular and you should be happy.

I actually wasn't lumping the academy is into that catagory. Sorry for not clearing that up.
To me, it's just one of those things like when you see a band such as Hella, Explosions in The sky, Anathallo, Lovedrug, Mew, Mute Math, and even rock bands like Copeland, who are all going out of their way to make a true effort towards exploring many different elements and angles of music and trying to make it something beautiful, I look back at bands such as Fall Out Boy or P!atd and realize just what cookie cutter, generic, talentless crap it really is. Performed very unskillfully i may add. It really is just cash cow music for the music industry and the labels that they are on. That's what i'm really trying to say.

Panic! At the Disco...need a chiropractor and physical therapy so they don't look like they're constantly shrugging their shoulders. Worst posture I've ever seen.

Granted, these two things to complain about are relatively trivial, but nonetheless, still irritated me.
