They've definitely downgraded since like 2005

I like listening to The Microphones.

They have some good pop acts, but yeah, they've definitely gone downhill that last few years. Really what sucks is how they kind of put the bands on their label that aren't power pop/pop punk bands on the back burner.

Completely agree. Sucks...They do have a few good acts though.

Forgive Durden is a-okay.

Also, Lifetime did a brief tenure there, and I have unending amounts of gushing love for them.

out of the FBR bands i've actually listened to... it seems that there are a handful of that are just downright awful (CIWWAF, The Cab, ARTTM), another handful that had potential but have since gone downhill (TAI..., Cobra, Gym Class Heroes), and one really good band which is Forgive Durden. so, not every band on that label sucks but they're getting pretty close.

Eh, I like pretty much all of them no matter what people say.

So over FBR.

This 'record label' is a joke.

Just saying.

Although Fall Out Boy is the shit.

Most of the bands on there suck in my opinion. Not all but most.

That's pretty much what I was thinking.

May we please have a reason to back up this statement?

Only bands I like from FBR are TAI, Cobra, Forgive Durden, and even though they are in kind of a hiatus The Hush Sound. If Vinnie from Less Than Jake still owned the label, the story would be really different.

Forgive Durden is their best.

Vinnie leaving pretty much put the nail in the coffin. They're headed down the same road Drive-Thru is currently crashing and burning on.

I don't see them going down that road. They still have many acts that are real popular right now/gaining popularity like TAI, Paramore, Cobra Starship, The Cab, Panic at the Disco, Gym Class Heroes, etc.

They have their good bands and they have their bad bands, just like any record label.

I enjoy myself some Mount Eerie. But they're just a derivitive of The Pixies.

I like a lot of the bands on the label. So I guess I probably should have said "I like a lot of the bands on FBR." Whoops.

They might be gaining popularity now, but they'll be completely forgotten in no time... TAI's last album was an obnoxious juvenile wreck, GCH's newest album didn't seem to generate much attention at all compared to Cupid's Chokehold and their singles from ACASC, and I can't really see The Cab breaking through to the mainstream no matter how hard the label pushes them, they just don't have anything new or noteworthy to offer to their genre. Paramore and Panic might stick around for a while, but I have incredibly low expectations for the rest of them.

I don't think that TAI's last album was horrible, but still not near as good as their others. I think they will come back with their next album. GCH's album wasn't bad, people are just trying to compare it way too much to As Cruel as School Children, which was really good but I don't see them making another like it. I honestly do see The Cab breaking through soon because they have decent catchy pop. Lots better than a lot of stuff out there.

I think Paramore, Panic, and Cobra will continue to get bigger and stick around.

I haven't liked any of the releases coming from this label in a long time.

I was a fan at one point. The Hush Sound and Fall Out Boy are doing something right.

A Day to Remember, Four Year Strong, and Set Your Goals are worse than every band on FBR.
