Kind of a weird topic because you take anyone that's loved in a film or tv show and think of someone else in their position and it's hard.

That said, if I'm understanding your thread idea, Harrison Ford as Han Solo.

hugh jackman , as wolverine

Viggo Mortenson as Aragorn.

It's funny because all 3 of those actors were not the first choices for the roles, and in some cases replaced the original actors once the movie had begun filming.

Hahaha brilliant. I knew about Harrison Ford/Han Solo but who was cast as Aragorn?

Stuart Townsend (Queen of the Damned, Dorian Grey in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). They talk about the recast a ton in the dvds saying they cast too young. Great substitution imo

from wiki- "Among other actors to be considered were Vin Diesel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vin_Diesel), who auditioned but was not chosen, Nicolas Cage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolas_Cage) and Daniel Day-Lewis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Day-Lewis), who both declined. Russell Crowe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Crowe) and Jason Patric (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Patric) were New Line Cinema's backup plan in case a deal with Mortensen could not be reached."

I've been been to watch it for the past few weeks. I finally got the book and now it's just making me want to watch the movie (which I must admit, I prefer over the book a little)
Amazing movie though, pretty damn perfect - minus Kristen Stewart, but whatever.

Edit.
And kind of cheesy, but I love Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley. Out of the three I think he fits his character the best.
Also, Edward Norton and Brad Pitt in Fight Club, they worked off of each other perfectly

It's in my bundle of favourite movies (I can no longer pick one haha), but Brad Pitt does own in it. The I'm fucking Lou, who the fuck are you? scene, love it, I couldn't see anyone pulling that off like Brad Pitt did. And the scene where the narrator beats himself up in his boss' office, kind of typical, but still my favourite scene in a movie ever. Really though, the entire cast was great in it.

yeah, it doesn't happen often, but i think the movie is actually better than the book in this case.

Kind of shocked me when I started reading the book that I prefer the movie, but everything about the movie is so spot on. The cast is, for the most part, perfect, the soundtrack works so well with the movie, it's visually stunning, and Emile Hirsch utterly captured McCandless' spirit.

I thought Dev was a great actor, but at times I could tell he is from London... maybe it's because I knew he was British, but his accent wasn't so good. I thought Freida wasn't great and the kid actors outdid the adults by a landslide, but yeah good film (mostly due to the director.)
