They are the most underrated band on the scene today. I'm still dying for an all Chicago concert with The Lawrence Arms, Rise Against, and Alkaline Trio. Also, remember The Falcon is recording a full length. There are members from all three of those bands in The Falcon. Chicago punk rock will not be destroyed by Fall Out Boy. Amen.

Good!

Also, Chris McCaughan from the Larry Arms has just created a MySpace for his solo ventures, and that can be found at http://www.myspace.com/chrismccaughan.

if i had to choose three bands to reunite for a show, they would be one of them. other slots would be filled by jawbreaker and atdi, thats how much i used to love that band.

hmmm....those are good picks for reunions.....i forget how good slapstick really was....here's my top 3 bands that need to reunite:

1. jawbreaker
2. operation ivy
3. lifetime

and yeah, i wish tate would do more coverage on bands like the larry arms and less coverage on all those shitty victory bands....can't say i really blame him though, that seems to be what the kids here like....ugh

i'd personally prefer minor threat to do a reunion show or two. or hell, even have fugazi come back out of hiatus status. but otherwise, that looks like a pretty solid list.

Also on their Myspace page, you can now view the cover art and the tracklisting for the album.

I am getting more and more excited with each day.

Don't worry, once Fat sends me the advance and I get to hear it, I'll be pimping it like crazy.

bless staff like you. it's kind of a shame that we have to outsource to canada to find people who still enjoy good music though. :\ nothing against canada, it just seems that all the kids who used to listen to good music have moved to canada and we got left with all the broken-hearted emo bitches.

haha, hey brian....i knew they were doing a few reunion shows, but i wish they would go back in the studio....i meant to say "bands i wish would make another album"....unless of course they are working on another album and i'm too stoned to remember reading about it....if that's the case, i'll shut up

and darren mcleod, you have the best taste in music out of all the ap.net staff members

We have plenty of those walking the streets too.

I think we're pretty even. You gave us Good Charlotte and Ashlee Simpson, we gave you Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne.

okay, but then i want shania twain (you can keep her vocal chords), steve yzerman, and brett hull. you can have courtney love, terrell owens, the naked cowboy, and new jersey

You already have Brett Hull, you've had him ever since he got cut from Team Canada many years ago.

Damn! Jersey! Listen I know that it's the birthplace of some shitty bands, but there are great ones that came out of the garden state as well. Can we get out of this trade out of Sympathy? How about we give them Wyoming or some other red state that has nothing in it?

Oh yeah and my top 3 bands that I would like to see reunited/new records made.

1. Jawbreaker
2. Hot Water Music
3. The Dismemberment Plan

- I would put on ATDI but I think they are too far tarnished by their other projects and they would make a mediocre album. Let's not mess with the gospel on this one.

i grew up/am from PA. it is my responsibility to loathe NJ. i have my reasons and personal experiences as well. including getting pulled over for making a left hand turn.

other annoyances include:

highway lanes that magically appear/disappear with no merging
trash, trash, trash
the jersey turnpike
jersey girls
camden
the unpredictable nature of road/street signs (as in... sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not)
newark
bon jovi
gas pumping (or the lack of it)
restaurants/gas stations/convenience stores that have incompetent cashiers who just kind of make a guess when it comes to giving you your change back
etcit's nothing personal, i even have a few friends from there, but christ do i hate that state.

How about we compromise and give them Texas then? Not a damn good thing ever came outta that state. I know that everything is bigger in Texas, and that's the reason it costs more then $2 for gas and we have an idiot for president.

Agreed?
