Former Fairweather guitarist/vocalist Peter Tsouras and drummer Shane Johnson have formed a new band called Olympia (http://www.myspace.com/olympiaband) alongside former Brand New Disaster vocalist Phil Williams. The Richmond, Virginia-based quartet (also featuring the unimonikered "Nick" on bass) recently wrapped up recording their demo and have posted two songs from it, "Bastogne" and "It's Okay To Eat The Dead (Times Are Tough)," on their MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/olympiaband) page for both streaming and download. The band promise to post more songs, as well as information on their first shows, in the near future.

Yes, this is the news I love to read.
i miss fairweather so much.. lusitania is my favorite record of all time.
Probably their worst album, though.. but they were all good.
RIP This Day Forward, as well. I always thought TDF + Fairweather would combine.

these songs rule. they remind me of a more pop engine down, which is obviously an awesome thing.

i will let you have your opinion.. but i think it is leaps and bounds better than if they move... i think there is so much on it to appreciate.

i agree. i think musically it blows 'if they move..' away. they definitely took things to a whole new level with 'lusitania'. i personally like 'if they move...' better though, just because the album has more personal value and history for me.

jay actually sings back up on the "eat the dead" song.
but he's got a new band in the works called the color chords. he's looking for a drummer. if you know anyone, please hit me up and i'll get the message to him.
