myspace's best feature gone?

I went on myspace to look up bands in my area, so that I could plan shows and what have you.
I have done this many times with their advanced search.
But the site has been redesigned and I couldn't figure out how to do this kind of searching/browsing anymore.
So, I e-mailed myspace asking them where to go to do this kind of search, and they said myspace doesn't have that option.

What!
I thought that was an incredibly useful tool for bands to communicate and plan tours/shows...

That sucks. I used to use that when I would go out of town for a few days and find bands in that area and go to a show. I think Purevolume may have that option, but I'm not sure and who knows how many bands don't use it.

i dont know what all has changed....

if you click on the music tab, then "top artists" tab, you can search for artists in whatever zip code or state.

we just did that for lining up a show in flagstaff az on our tour and got two amazing bands....raining & ok and bearhug. you should check them out.

Yeah, but that's just the top 100 artists.
used to be you could search ALL artists like that.
