MItch Hedberg was amazing.

Dane Cook is better visually, but not that good if you are just listening to him. Other comedians do a better job telling the joke without you having to see them tell it. If that makes any sense

i got to see mitch twice and it was definitely a great experience. the first time my friends and i took a road trip to dayton to see him in a small club, and it was awesome. one of my favorite college memories. the second time, when he was on the dave attell insomniac tour, wasn't as good though. it may have been because we were in a large auditorium and it was packed. he seemed nervous, as well as possibly drunk/high.

i saw dane last year as well, and i agree that a lot of his jokes aren't as funny if they're not seen. i didn't laugh nearly as much listening to retaliation as i did seeing him live or watching him on tv.

if you get the chance to see brian regan live, do it. he does pretty clean comedy, but it's the funniest shit i've ever heard.

Dane Cook has been a favorite comedian of mine since around the time Harmful If Swallowed dropped. I've liked him ever since. I'm not saying he's the funniest comedian ever, I'm just saying he's definitely up there on my list of favorite comedians. As someone else mentioned, Daniel Tosh is also quite hilarious. I've been meaning to pick up his CD for awhile. His Comedy Central special is quite hilarious. Another guy to watch out for is Nick Swardson. He doesn't have a CD but his Comedy Central special is awesome. He's also in Grandma's Boy and steals every scene he's in. Fucking funny guy. Mitch Hedberg is also a funny bastard, but everyone already knows that. Dave Attell, Stephen Lynch, and Patton Oswalt are all pretty funny as well.
