So i just started watching Greg Oden's high school basketball game on ESPN 2 and he's a beast.

However, he looks to be about 36 years old. This is disturbing. It's like the old man that goes to the middle school basketball court to school little kids. weird.

but, Greg Oden: next Dwight Howard, yes or no?

this Eric Gordon from North Central high school in Indiana looks legit too. He's a junior in high school and they say he's the #1 High School Junior SG in the country. he blocked this kid's layup at the top corner of the square on the backboard and is draining NBA range 3's. I'm more impressed with him than Oden right now.

oden is the best high school center since shaquille o'neal according to espn. Also, the UNC tarheels have the #1 recruiting class with Ohio State as a close second.

yeah, ohio state has oden committed, as well as his point guard, Mike Conley. And he looks to be a good, good passer.

but, this kid on the other team, Eric Gordon, looked insane. jump, shoot, defend, drive. everything.

Kansas has the #2 PG in the nation coming in this year, and in the following year the next wayne Simien is coming in via Cole Aldrich

We also have a good shot with Darrel Arthur, the #3 PF as well. I'm liking the Bill Self recruting so far (though Roy is doing a nasty job at UNC)

ok i know very little about basketball so forgive me if im intruding, i honestly having nothing to contribute to the conversation...but i saw greg oden in the thread title and it sparked my interest. i live in indianapolis. for the past couple years, once football is done, all anyone talks about is him. this kid is amazing. it was just really weird to me to see people who arent in indianapolis talking about him. sorry...thats all i wanted to say.

Oh Jason don't say that to me. I've chosen to ignore that little fact in the recruitment process. If O'Brien and Biancardi can produce enough of a stir in those hearings to pull another tournament suspension, I may give up on NCAA basketball out of depression. Oh man that scares me. Because this is the most excitement Ohio State basketball has ever had, losing it all could destroy the program for another decade.

Yeha, the block on that alley oop byu Gordon was one of the most athletic plays I have ever seen. Shocking coming from a high school kid. I cant wait to get him on campus.
