They really need to strip the show of all characters besides the core, have Marissa and Julie Cooper die in tragic botox accidents and have Anna really come back. The core of all the problems of this show root off of Marissa. Ryan himself is an interesting character, but their reliance on pairing him incessantly with Marissa and all of the drama that comes with her (God I hate her) kills it. That and the fact that the side characters have actually gotten worse and worse (Did I mention we started with Oliver, so it wasn't exactly revolutionary in it's awesomeness before). It's too smarmy for it's own good, and it must be stopped. I'm glad Smallville nuked it, that way they could face it straight up with CSI so somebody can pull that baby off life support and say good night.

I stopped watching this show because of its predictability and lack of big changes. It kept leading up to stuff that would promise to change the whole story dramatically, but then everything good would happen and everything would be back to normal.

I loved the first season, liked the second season, and only watched a few from this third season.

I love the girl you claim is coming back though (anyone associated with Entourage is amazing).

The O.C. isn't that big here. It's shown at 9:00PM on Tuesdays on a digital channel, and 2:00PM on Sundays on regular TV. I know, shitty.

Still, season 2 was one of the biggest disappointments for me. I pretty much religiously watched the first season, I even bought DVD-R copies of the first season before I got the official release. But season 2 had so little to offer. Everyone had relationships which you knew would end, and nothing exciting happened.

Season 1 was great for the purpose of drama. Ryan was awesome in the beginning of The O.C., then he turned good. I'll admit when Trey came back in season 2 I was so happy to have something happen. But when he left, I stopped downloading the show.

I still haven't bought season 2 DVD either yet. I want the American version because all our shitty UK release has is one commentry I think.

Yeah she comes back to further disrupt the Ryan-Marissa relationship. Even though her character was played very poorly, on paper, her character can be quite effective for drama.
