It's pretty simple actually. Judaism isn't a race. Race would be Caucasian, African-American, Caucasian (Hispanic), Asian, etc. It's a common misconception for Jews or Muslims or Christians to designate themselves to a "race".

Almost all Jews belong to the race "Caucasian".

I hope that cleared something up.

is that really true? i had heard rumors about it when i was applying last year. i got in, but it was mostly just a safety (i go to nyu now). an old friend of mine goes there [UAlbany] and everytime i read her away message she's either drunk or about to get drunk, so maybe the rumors are true. you go to suny stony brook? do you know a girl named Amanda Addolorato (sp?) or a guy named Mike Modica? we went to high school together. how do you like it there?

Jews didn't really have a place to call home until Israel was given sovereignty in the 1960's (I believe), so that's why the concept of being Jewish/hebrew as a race isn't like German/Arabic/Chinese.
