Hey AP ppl,

I've been tweaking and tuning a piece of work for the last couple and weeks, and in typical noob-like fashion, am thinking about publishing it. I was curious if any one has any experience in publishing, especially poetry, and what advice you could offer. I have done some research and I'm pretty sure I must:

- look for grammatical errors, etc.
- get multiple ppl to read it, search for grammar and add input
- consider if it would rather fit in a Literary journal (except mine's a 100+ pages so...)
- determine if I want to pay to have mine published or vice versa (well, I can't really decide, but you know what I mean).

Any other tips? Thanks!

Honestly, I would be more comfortable answering this if I were able to read what you've written. If it's poetry, throw some poems up in the forums and let us give input; you don't have to post everything, and you can generally extrapolate criticism from one to others in a general sense, which is the good thing about having a consistent voice.

Let's see some! Then your questions will be easier. In general, getting published is the exception, not the rule, so submit, submit, submit!
