I found a message from Stefanie on DrivingThru.co.uk (http://www.drivingthru.co.uk/)'s website that clears up some rumors about The Early November (http://www.theearlynovember.net)'s situation with Drive Thru Records (http://www.drivethrurecords.com).
"DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ! rumors are called rumors for a reason. no, the early november are not "desparately" trying to get off of our label. in fact, they're not even half-heartedly trying. we have a great relationship with the band, supported them through thick & thin for the past 4 years, and are releasing their new cd this summer. by the way, it's a triple disc and it fucking kicks ass.

speaking of kicking ass...HALIFUCKINGFAX. holy shit this cd rules. check out our splash page at drivethrurecords.com to hear a new song "under fire." rock at its finest.

and HELLOGOODBYE are finishing their cd next week...it will be out in May. Amazing band, amazing live, amazing people. we promise. we're sending them to the UK very soon.

No don't believe the rumors, Senses Fail can't just peace out and go to another label!" 2 or 3 months later they were on vagrant.

If this triple disc album "kicks so much ass" than why did you make the band go back into the studio and re-record it because the "story wasn't up to par" (and are making them go into the studio AGAIN in the very near future to re-do the story for a third time)? The artwork, credits, and everything are in your possession, and it's up to YOU to come up with a release date and get the thing in people's hands, yet you continue to nit pick at a perfected storyline and threaten to make the album a "dual disc" if the band refuses to go back into the studio again to re-work it. Don't make it seem like T.E.N enjoys being on your label, you know damn well that they have problem with YOU imparticular and despise DTR.... there's no fucking secret there. This poorly timed statement only sugarcoats a rotten cake...

Maybe, I swore when DTR and Midtown were going through arguments that Midtown said DTR tried signing all their bands to 7 record deals, which may or may not have been illegal under California law. So maybe TEN is trying to meet the agreements in said contract.

Honestly, I'm getting over this band, I have been fed up for awhile, and each day that goes by that this album isn't released won't help the situation. The problem is "Distro"? These pushbacks has been going on for like four years now, where have you been? If Fueled By Ramen, Militia Group, Victory Records, Tooth And Nail etc. can all get their bands' albums out when they originally plan, there is absolutely no reason why DTR shouldn't be able to.

Well, tell Stefanie and Richard to stop making them re-do everything. The label has all of the materials they need to release the record, yet the band had to re-record and re-work the whole storyline in the middle of the Saves The Day/Emanuel tour, and are being forced to head back into the studio again to do it... this band will break up long before their contract with DTR is up, guarenteed.

Just because title's aren't announced, doesn't mean they aren't decided upon. The album was "finished" (recording, artwork, titles, credits, EVERYTHING) before the Saves The Day tour, but the guys were forced to go back into the studio during the tour to re-record stuff, and are being forced to again. The band is completely content with the way the record sounds, the storyline and all, and are dreading having to go back and re-do stuff... they don't want to at all. All of this is 100% fact, regardless of what Stefanie says. Just look at it this way, If this triple disc wasn't finished (by their standards), why would the band already be writing songs for the album after it?

this has NOTHING to do with distro... DTR has been pushing back albums for FOUR YEARS and their distro was completely fine back then. You guys at Driving Thru need to stop sucking the dick of a label that has been dead since 2003...face reality. DTR takes 7 months - year to release a band's music after they are done recording... this is not anything new as a result of "distro", it's been happening for years now and it's fucking absurd. Also, Richard was quoted as saying this through IM:

"you think it would take us more than 5 minutes to get a new distro deal?"

...Obviously distro isn't the issue dude.

I know these facts because I talk to the band on a daily basis and I know what they are currently doing, and being asked to do by Drive-Thru with this new album (which is to change some of the storyline--the lyrics--for a third time on one of the discs).

So I re-read my previous comment about ten times, and this is what stood out all ten times I read it: "I just want to hear some new music from this band"...

How does that express, in any way, that I am not a "music fan"? If anything, that expresses the exact opposite. Quite frankly, I'd rather hear all three discs (with one of them having so-so lyrics) in two months then waiting 6 months to a year to hear anything at all. I don't have the patience and I'm sick of waiting forever on DTR releases... I've been doing it since 2001.

"half assed shit"? How would you know? Have you read the lyrics they were asked to change do you know how much time they put into the storyline? You calling anything they've done up until this point "half assed shit" is about as ignorant of a statement that anybody can make. I could understand if the songs themselves sucked, or if the choruses were weak... but pushing an album back 6 months because of lyrics on 1 of the 3 discs is not a good reason, especially being that the story is great right now anyway. Also, I'm not completely neglecting that bottom statement, but instead standing up for your accusations of me not being a "true music" fan. The band loves the story now, and they don't want to change it...especially Ace. All of them want a release date. Do you actually believe T.E.N would record "half assed shit"? Quality always outweighs time, but there are always instances where time should be of essence, especially when pushing something back a half a year just to nitpick (for a third time).
