I love A Loss For Words & this record, but people need to understand that this is just Blake's opinion. The only difference between him and you is that he writes his opinion down and posts it for everyone to see. I don't agree with the opinion in the review, but its just one person, who happens to not like the album. Shouldn't enflame everyone so much...
That being said this is a great album and I encourage everyone to give it a listen, and if you agree with the review, then you agree with it. Don't pass it up just because of one person's opinion, though.
everyone is enflamed because people decide whether or not they should get albums based on these reviews..if it's bad then people will be turned off of what many people love all because of a dick review

very good review. i don't agree with your opinion on the album (though you do raise some good points) but the review was well written nonetheless.

I have a hard time believing this review wasn't written just to get a rise out of people. I have read many reviews by Blake...all good from a literary point of view, but I couldn't disagree more on this album in particular. Been jammin' it for a while and would recommend anyone that is into the punk/pop genre to give it a shot.

I listened to this album many times long before I ever thought to read a review on. Going into it, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that it was going to get great reviews, because I think this album is pretty awesome.
Now I'm just sad I even read this...not a fan of this review.
OH! Almost forgot, I made a brief encounter with these guys after one of there performances, and from how I saw it, they were really nice guys. Just a little fun fact...

i probably would've enjoyed this album more if they had a different vocalist, one that's not incredibly boring to listen to. i give him props for having a nice voice, it just doesn't work with the rest of the band. they'd sound better if they had the charisma of the singers of four year strong.

i think this review is a little harsh, yes, most pop-punk bands have generic pop-punk riffs that all sound exactly the same. This album is a good 1/2 and 1/2. Stamp of approval was defiantly the best song on the album to open it with. and lyrically wise, there have been much worse. Its just another side of Matt that we just saw. Mt. St. Joseph is about his best friend whose life got fucked up because of drugs. that sucks. id be depressed if that happened to me, and im sure id happen to you too.
all in all a good album, yes repetitive, but overall good
