So stoked for this. When I Am God was such a solid debut release, I really hope Son Of The Morning can live up to it.

It was supposed to be released in August but I heard that Solid State wants to push it back to Sept/Oct, what a bummer.

I cannot wait for this album. And if Cody from As Cities Burn does provide guest vocals... well, it'll be even better. I really like Oh, Sleeper. I love the vocal delivery. I loved the lyrics from their debut. I am expecting big things from this album. The concept sounds fantastic. Good guys. Pretty solid when I saw them live as well.

Ah! I am quite fortunate - they were supporting Underoath on their tour over here in the UK last year. It's not often that a band gets over to the UK so quickly in their career. But yes, I've liked them since their EP. This album is right up there as one of my most anticipated of the year.

Oh, Sleeper has great vocals and lyrics, but the music gets boring about halfway through the album. I hope I like the new album more. I love ACB, so I'm really hoping Cody's on the CD. Has he been confirmed yet, or is it still just a rumor?

I went to Outback Steakhouse and hit golf balls with my dad today! :) And it ruled.

Next, as most of you know the label changed our layout to get everyone stoked for the upcoming release "Son Of The Morning" in stores August 25th. What a tease, right? Many of you are confused by the meaning of the new symbol on the cover of SOTM, and I'd really like to encourage you to go to our blogs and read the lyrics to "The Finisher" (especially the last few lines). I think you guys are smart enough to figure it out. :)

A lot of people have asked when we'll be releasing new songs. I'd like you to know that WE are probably even MORE excited than you guys to post some new stuff. I was told that Solid State wants to start posting new tracks in a month (end of July). And I think the plan is to release a new song on every Tuesday a month prior to the release. So basically we'll post 4 new tracks before the album hits stores. So if you guys can just wait a litttttttle longer, I promise you it will be worth the wait. We just gotta get some hype going and get some people talking about Oh, Sleeper!!!

In the meantime, we need YOUR help to get this new album on the lips of every person who listens to music across the world. Posting bulletins, twitter posts, etc. help us so much because it directs traffic to this page and gets people interested. Changing your display name to something like "John will cut off your horns". Stuff that like that rules and it pumps us up so much! The only way we'll be able to continue making music is if people are still buying records and coming to hang out at shows, so to everyone who's actually bought the record as opposed to downloaded....we are forever grateful. We can't thank you enough.

The feedback for SOTM has been seriously INSANE. People are already getting Son Of The Morning tattoos and changing their display names to new lyrics. I'm reminded daily why God has me in this band, and I want to know that I'm reminded daily how BLESSED I am to be apart of this because I'm convinced that we truly have the greatest friends and fans of any band out there. This isn't a trend or something fake. And I think you guys are picking up on that. It's refreshing to have people who have stood by us since day one, and aren't just supporters when it was cool to like Oh, Sleeper.

If you get a SOTM tattoo, send a picture to us....and if you make the picture your default, we'll put you in our top friends to show you our appreciation.

Oh, Sleeper was excellent. I really liked all of the bands live except Agraceful, Gwen Stacy, and The Chariot. But you get Sleeping Giant. They were in California on our date but i saw them at Cornerstone anyway.

After the show, which was amazing, I saw Micah and I told him they were awesome and he came over to us and started started talking to us. We got on the subject of the song with Cody and he was like, "dude, if you guys want to hear it you can. Just come over to our van." So we went over to the van and listened to at least 5 songs off the new record with Lucas. After we listened to it we just talked to them for a long time, at least an hour. It was awesome.

P.S. After hearing what I heard it looks like this record is better than When I Am God. The song with Cody is amazing!!!!!!

It honestly threw me off, I couldn't believe it was oh sleeper. then it gets heavier and it's just awesome. I know that was a poor description but I don't really know how to describe it. Apparently a new song will be going up on August 4th. I hope it is the finisher. It is the song I am the most stoked about. I saw a couple of youtube videos of some of the new songs with camera quality sound so it was hard to really get a good feel for them. I am really excited for this new album it should be great.

ehhh, he used to be in a local metal band, evelynn, and i knew him through my brother and he lived near my house. he was "nice" when he was around his concerts, i guess to not come off like a douche, but outside of all that, he was really flakey and if i remember right talked a bunch of crap behind peoples back and would be all "buddy-buddy" with them afterwards.

It sounds like Underoath because of the way he screams on this record and because they use more clean vocals. The guitars aren't so much an Underoath sound, these guitarists are more showy i feel. but it's a decent record i guess, i liked his old scream/shout style more though.

saw them with Hawk Boy and Emery at the Outland in springfield, mo. this past saturday. they killed it. they played a song off the upcoming record. nothing too progressive but very good. Hawk Boy was surprisingly awesome. me and my friend left before emery because, well, we don't like them. got up front for the last song, "the finisher"...insane. such a good show.
