is it just me or does it seem like big corporations like AOL/Time Warner are profitting way to much from this new, increasingly emerging punk/indie scene???

I think it's cool that they actually have some good music to stream a lot of times now.

Ok, so let's say for instance AOLMusic.com only had major label/mainstream artists for stream, you would be complaining "Why don't they show the little guys some love instead of promoting what's already huge?"...it's a lose lose situation for them I guess. Personally, AOL, Yahoo, Google, MTV, Coke, Nike, Microsoft and Wal-Mart could start promoting and helping out bands like Copeland and Days Away and I'd have absolutely no problem with it because they deserve all of the attention in the world. Also, your statement is lopsided because the band's of this "emerging punk/indie scene" are profitting off of big corporations as well.

I haven't seen anything about the class of 98 on this thread...could it be because they are seriously lacking in the music department?
I'm sorry to sound like a dick, but if your band is advertised and it sucks, you deserve to know the truth.
You should be paying me for my honesty

true they are profiting from these corporations, but all and all i believe its the internet in general... i totally want nothing less than to get all these talented unknown bands names out there, i just dont want AOL to like be the one spreading it... plus AOL sucks...but i do see your point
