I like the tape adapter the best...no radio interference, good sound...doesn't kill the battery like the itrip

I bought this belkin starter kit for my iPod about a year ago for like $25...it contained this audio-out cassette that fits (narrow side in) into your tape deck (if you're lucky enough to have one...haha).
At first the sound wasn't great, but I found that if I turned the iPod's volume to about 40% and adjusted the car stereo volume accordingly, it worked fairly well.

itrips are actually really cool...they have a few issues, but the ones that just came out for a nano are sick, so if you have a 5g, i would wait for that.
otherwise, i agree tape adapter is the way to go if you have a tape deck.

any idea on the wait for the iTrips for the 5G?
nope. i just went to www.ipodlounge.com (if u haven't been there, check it out)...
Some other company is making an fm transmitter that looks almost just like the new itrips...I think for this generation they will finally be good..however, I'm sure they are 2-4 months off considering i haven't seen a test one for a 5g (although i rarely look, and one could be out).

Unless you get the roadtrip. Its actually betttr and charges your iPod. its madddddddddd cash though. definitly better sound not the slightest static. fuck in the middle of NYC it blocked out every channel even Z100 no static. It's a dock for your car/transmitter.

Get an iTrip. I love mine, I use it every day. Its small, easy to bring anywhere, and you can play it anywhere there's a radio frequency. Plus if you get a tape deck you can't use it on a shower radio, which i do all the time. The only problem is the battery loses power quick, so get a car charger.

DO NOT get an FM Transmitter. They're not worth the money because there's always static. Find some way to connect your iPod directly to your car stereo.

i'd just get a sattelite to orbit my car. the adapters suck, espeicially the radio ones. tape adapters will play, but it sounds like crap.

I told you. RoadTrip. It's better. I would know, I had a iTrip, which blew. Used Cassets, then got the Xetreme Airplay. Got rid of that it was ehh good on a few channels.. sometimes. Put up the money for the Apple casset. That worked great, but then I tried the Roadtrip. It's by far the best thing I have used. You don't know that your suing the radio, it's a REALLY powerful transmitter and will totally block out absolutly any channel with no problem, not once have I had the slightest static.

if you have an audio jack in your car stereo, you can just hook your ipod up to it with an audio cable. that's what my friend does & it works really well.
