A friend of mine continues to pressure me into praising these guys but nothing really clicks

Alive Or Just Breathing >>>>>>> 99% of modern metalcore.

Alive Or Just Breathing was their best. I occasionally listen to them, but yeah, kinda grew out of them.

Absolutely love this band. Every release is solid and I honestly think that As Daylight Dies is better than Alive Or Just Breathing. I prefer Howard on vocals waaaaaaay more than Jesse.

Man, I hate self-titled's that aren't debuts. It just comes across as laziness to me.

I went and saw them just because ETID was support, it was pretty packed and it was total sing-along, i couldn't really hear the singer at all. It was ok the most entertaining thing was the guitarist with the headband that said douche playing random shit in between songs

The new record has found it's way into the world. If I could sum up how I feel about the the record in one picture, it would be this: http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/3/3c/RAAAAGE.png

After listening to this record in it's entirety, I have to say Killswitch has joined the We Sold Out Our Sound club. Seriously, this is without a doubt the worst fucking record I've heard all year. I would rather listen to Brokencyde's new record then listen to this again, that's how bad this record is.

I loved As Daylight Dies and like Howard alot more than Jesse on the vocals, but the songs from this record sound kind of bland

I like it cause it's Killswitch, but if another band played these songs I wouldn't like them as much. Make sense?

Never been a huge fan, but they have a few choice cuts.

I still can't get over the fact that the band that made Alive Or Just Breathing made this horrible record.

AOJB is metalcore elitery.

AOJB is far better than anything the band has released with Howard Jones at the helm.
Fixed.

Overall a very solid band but I do not like what I've heard from this record so far. I haven't even really caught up with As Daylight Dies yet, but they are getting to that point where they used to do the same thing a lot better. This would have been the record to try something else, but they are starting to fall short on their hooks so the whole package is losing its luster. Alive or Just Breathing and End of Heartache are both very good records that I have been a fan of for quite some time.

I think they're trying to progress but losing the catchyness in some of their songs because of this.

Well just so everyone knows, if you wanna hear the album they have the whole thing up on their myspace.

My opinion, I love Killswitch, I think they are an awesome band but they seemed to have drifted away from TEOH and AOJB, which is good, it shows that they can do more then just the metal stuff. But I like this album so far

I just listened to it expecting it to be either really bad or really generic just from reading the comments here. This album did have its wtf/facepalm moments, but I can't say I would rank it among my least favorite albums of all time. Not really memorable, although I did take As Daylight Dies off of rotation not too long after that record came out.

These comments aren't exactly encouraging, but I'm still gonna listen to the album in a minute.

Gonna see them in September, as they're playing with In Flames, BTBAM, and Protest the Hero. Hey, even if this album sucks, Adam is still hilarious live.
