At Fordham I took a class called From Rock and Roll to Hip Hop, we listened to all kinds of music from the 30's to the current era.

Very cool, i almost went to Fordham. We go from early African music to the 70's. Emphasis on what was popular at the time though.

I took the history of rock n roll from 1950 to present last year, except we only got to December 1976 and that really pissed me off because that was right before all my favorite music happened. I also got a C in the class because I had emergency surgery, missed two weeks, and then got a D on the test which was given the first day I was medically allowed back in class. I ended up with a 78.5 and asked the guy to round up because of my thing and he basically said "tough shit". I had gotten an A and B on the other two exams too. What a douchebag.

I took a class in the Music Industry in general, and as part of the course we needed to do a report on a song that had some influence on modern music.

I did mine of Basket Case.

Yep. History of Rock N' Roll here at the U of Utah. We started with african music and went clear up into Blink 182, Eminem, etc.. Best class ever.

last year in high school, i took a half year course called pop music and history. it was a progressive thing. we started out learning about ring shouts and slaves and ended with music from the 80s or 90s (can't remember which). it pretty kool. we covered a lot of bases rather than just focusing on one type of genre and style through out the decades.
