Another example of a guy who needs to hang it up and not tarnish his great career.

Another guy who will have to face the scrutiny of the steroid era when his HOF ballot comes around.

actually, i feel bad for the guy. people get so swept up in saying he sucks, they forget that he was pretty fantastic back in the day.

sigh...still my favorite player. I wish he could get one more .290+ 35 HR+ and 100RBI+ season. I would give almost anything to see it.

Thomas could be of great use off the bench, even in a DH role. The guy can still hit the ball. He hasn't lost this quality, only his ability to do other things. For this amount of money, dont be surprised if he out values his contract. I like this deal.

Thomas'll be the starting DH, no doubt. It's a great move.
Even if he is a bust, it's still only 500,000, which in this day, is what you pay a backup infielder. I'd rather take a chance with Thomas than take a 2nd backup infielder onto the roster. Especially since if he gets hurt, that backup infielder can be brought up.

Hell if I know. I still call it The Net.
But yeah, second deck shots could be plentiful this year.

whoever he plays for, he's still a beast of a man though.
and now that he's out of the central, i'd love for him to get another .290/35/100 season.
