Are there any Ableton Live users on absolutepunk?

I am just getting into the basics of it and was wondering how popular this software was.

Thanks.

I've only used it to make one song, except I haven't added any vocals. It's still a touch over my head, but I really want to get better at it.

It's a great program! I love it. I've only made a few songs with it, but I definitely understand how to use it. I'm still running Ableton 7, though. Eight already came out but I haven't upgraded. I believe Imogen Heap uses Ableton Live, so it must be pretty popular

I have been using Ableton Live for about 3 years I think? I can't remember, but me and a friend have been making electronic music for about 4, and as soon as we could get our hands on it, we did.

It is a bit overwhelming at first. BUT, the tutorials that come with the program really really help you get the basics down. The rest, especially for me, was trial and error (along with a few audio engineering and Synth classes at my local community college).

If you understand the concept of Frequencies, Amplitude, Velocity, and all the different characteristics of sound waves in general...it will be a breeze. If not, just play with it for a while. There are lots of videos on YouTube that show you the different powers it is capable of, and after about a year of playing with it...I was actually REALLY REALLY amazed.

If you have any questions about what anything does or how to do a certain something, don't hesitate to hit me up.

And if you feel so inclined, check us out :)
