Not caring what people think of you has nothing to do with this pseudo rebellion. It's got everything, however, to do with being confident enough in yourself that you don't have validate your existence through the eyes of your friends that only like you because you're willing to do whatever it takes to get them to be your friend. Real life isn't fucking Myspace. You're not getting judge on how many "friends" you have. and I actually do embody this "don't-care-what-people-think-rebellion" because I honestly don't. I don't spend my time worrying about what every single person is saying about me. People aren't going to like me and people will. But I know at the end of the day that i've got family and friends that like me for who i am and because I'm real. They're the only people who's opinions matter to me. So quit worrying about "fitting in" and just worry more about building solid foundations of true, lastings friendships. because you don't get friends by just "fitting in". You get them by being who you are and meeting kids that like the fact that you're real, genuine, and honest. No one likes a fraud or someone who'll do whatever it takes to have "friends." And I do spend my time "smiling" as well as laughing because life really isn't that hard. It's just about surrounding yourself with good family and friends and fun and entertainment. It's about enjoying yourself. So i don't give a fuck if you're in south africa or not or whether you fit in or not or whatever petty high school problems you have.
