Think about it man.

If Time Travel was possible, that would eliminate free will! Think about it!!

I've never seen it. I'm sure its not what I'm talking about though. This is way too deep.

I don't think time really exists. I think that everything is a constant present, a constant moment. The future is just a idea deposited in our minds. If it were possible to travel through time, it would destroy the concept of free will.

i am.

and a lot of people dont believe in time. they don't think we live in the "real world"...if we dont live in the real world then i think time travel would be pretty much irrelevent and the thought of free will would not be real either.

i'd like to discuss this with you... but right now i need to study statistics...

I think that everything is just a constant future, not a constant present. Time is the one thing in the world that will never stop. It is the ultimate constant. I'm pretty sure Einstein said that it's possible to move forward through time, but not backwards, so free will wouldn't be affected. We have to power to choose.

you guys ever study Einstein's stuff? That would shatter your conception of time but with science not logic. Personally, I don't understand most of his stuff yet but it relates velocity to let's say, rate of growth as well as size.

here's a cool example that falls in his special theory of relativity. If you have two identical twins...and one stays on Earth and the other goes on a space ship and travels at the speed of light for ten years, when he returns, he'll be the same age while his twin will have aged for ten years.

shove that in your philosophy

it's interesting stuff, I don't remember as much as I used to about it but it has actually been discussed in this forum way back when.

but with Einstein...if you were moving faster than the speed of light, wouldn't that make you go back in time?

If it were possible to travel through time, it would destroy the concept of free will.if we were able to time travel, the world would implode on itself. great theory, but totally improbable. anyway, if you feel that way, you should read Book XI of Confessions of St. Augustine if you haven't already. You'd definitely dig it.

What is age? I think the speed he traveled has more to do with it other than the length of time.

Steven Hawking said this "If time travel did exist, then we would be flooded with tourist from the future." I don't know about you guys, but the only person I know of who claims to be from the future is John Titor and well, he was proved as a lie haha.

We have the power to chose our own path. If that is true, there is no true future. Its just an idea we deposit in our minds. Another theory is that each moment in time is its own universe. That would mean history is seperated in to i

well, i support time travel, for my personal uses. go back and put tons of money into microsoft, and major companies, and just be rich. because well free will doesn't matter to most people.
