Have heard some of their newer stuff over on IAR. Much better than the days when they were known as "Holland".

this is good news, holland made wiked music, now the lonely hearts are a whole new kind of wicked. more proof that 2006 could be the year of the nail, much like 2005 was.

Get Sullivan and Watashi Wa's(Eager Seas) new albums, amazing start to an amazing year for tooth&nail

The Lonely Hearts = a hell of a lot better than Holland.

I thought that their EP was one of the best things I heard last year, it was defintely overlooked by a lot of people. If you preorder the album from their website they'll send you a copy of the EP for free....although all the songs on the EP are also on the full length. Check them out though, solid band.

I love love love love LOVE this band.

They need to tour and come back to Buffalo.

I discovered them when I went to see Lovedrug last February and have been pretty much obsessed since.

Its ironic because I was talking to Will (their singer) at Purple Door in August and he was saying how Tooth & Nail was about money and fame and nothing else.

Yeah for some reason i remember them having not so sweet thoughts about tooth. It makes me wonder, were they still contractually obligated? But then again why would they release the ep independently before the full length on T&N...idk.

did they get their band name from, "sgt peppers and THE LONELY HEARTS CLUB"?

If I was about money and fame, I sure wouldn't sign with Tooth & Nail. Honestly, T&N signs so many bands, they can't promote them properly... if I were to guess, I'd say T&N is about the music. Big labels sign for money and (hopefully) promote the crap out of you so they can make it.

I saw Holland in concert with Relient K way back in 2002, so this is awesome to see that they are making music. YES!.

Sweet... I knew these guys were still around, just didn't know what name they were going by now. If they're writing has grown as much as Seth's (Eager Seas) then this should be great.

According to my understanding, the band remained the same, and therefore have the same deal they've had.. they just changed names because someone had trademarked Holland. I could be wrong, but that was my understanding of the situation.

Yeah they were forced to change the name. Initially from what i remember, they were planning on continuing to play as holland, with the lonely hearts being a side project. They defintely released an EP independently last year.

Hey guys,
This is Will Holland from The Lonely Hearts. Someone myspaced us and let us know about this thread. So I registered to give you guys the scoop because we all really apreshiate anyone who cares at all about what we are doing. I honestly do not remember saying anything negative about Tooth and Nail to any guy/girl at a show. I dont want to get into a debate. I just do my best to present a positive outlook to people who actually show up and check us out.
Yes we are putting out a record on Tooth and Nail because we are contractually obligated to distribute 1 more record through them. But they are doing a good job getting it all together and we are thankful.
The name is abit influenced by The Beatles and also when we decided to start the new band I asked myself, "If Hank Williams had a back up band...what would they be called."
Just want you guys to know that I am excited about the release and hope you check it out on March 7th.

Also if you dont think it is me...just message us at www.myspace.com/thelonelyhearts
and that will be cleared up easily.

thanks,
Will
