I searched but couldn't find a thread, so it must be archived or full or something...

I know the Wii has gotten a lot of shit lately and isn't as popular amongst the gamers on this site, but for fans like me, E3 was really exciting. Wii Motion Plus looks really cool, and for the first time in a while there's a truly solid line-up of upcoming games. Personally I'm stoked for:

The Conduit
Red Steel 2
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Metroid: Other M
Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Zelda Title (the first developed exclusively for Wii)

Yes, most of them are sequels or franchise titles, but Red Steel 2 seems to be nothing like Red Steel save for the first person perspective, Metroid: Other M is a completely fresh take on the Metroid universe, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks to be really fun and refreshing, however much it borrows from the old titles. The announcement of a second Galaxy is the only real stretch in my opinion, but the first was so good that more of the same sounds great to me, especially with the addition of Yoshi.

I'm beyond excited for The Conduit. It looks like someone finally perfected the controls and put enough effort into the game itself to make an experience worth playing.

So, any other Wii fans looking forward to the future?

Terrible system unless your a suburban mom who actually thinks she's going to lose weight with Wii Fit or you think Wii Sports is the most fun you can ever have playing a game ever

I love the Wii but maybe that's because I like the classic and family oriented games (with the exception of Zelda). I don't care for the Wii Fit or any of the "exercising" games. :-d

I used to like it until I got an xbox.

Nothing personal by why the fuck would anyone be excited for Red Steel 2? The first one was abysmal.

I never even played the first, but the sequel has an all new setting, all new characters, and all new basic premise. The E3 demonstration of the new combat system looked really awesome too.

The first one is the worst game I own/have played. I guess I will check out the new one.

Galaxies owned, Virtual Console is also the best thing Nintendo has done in a long time.

Even though I've agreed with you on Nintendo's terribly policies and direction, I still think this is a silly thing to say. There are quite a few worthwhile games for the Wii. Just not as many as other systems. It depends on what you like.

Last time I played my Wii was when I didn't have friends *shrug*

That being said, I'm very excited for the new Zelda and Sin and Punishment 2

That's almost ironic.

I bought one right before Super Mario Galaxy came out, beat Twilight Princess and then purchased and beat Super Mario Galaxy and literally have not turned it on since

Haha, I was mostly being overdramatic. I don't put any time into mine anymore simply because I'd rather spend the same amount of money on longer and better lasting games for my 360

Yeah I figured so. Whatever you like, man.

I got one not too long ago, and I still only own Mario Kart (which my roommate and I have been playing like crazy). I plan to pick up Galaxy and Smash Bros. soon, though. I really like the Wii, though, because I'm not the kind of person to invest hours upon hours on a huge, drawn-out game (although I did enjoy playing Bioshock on my ex-roomie's 360).
