Announced (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/news/060126.html)January 26th, the Nintendo DS (http://planetgamecube.com/hardware.cfm?action=profile&id=245#) Lite is the new slimmer version of the DS and features four degrees of brightness adjustment. It releases in Japan March 2nd, 2006 at 16,800 Yen. Size: 133.0 mm (length) × 73.9 mm (heighth) × 21.5 mm (thickness when folded)

I like it, I may trade mine in or sell on Ebay if I can get it within a nice enough price to not shell out more then 20$ for this.

They are also saying it will have pictochat online.

ALso it will come in two other colrs. My guess a black and a silver/platnum.

Right now 130$

I know even when this gets out i can sell mine for over 100. So if I do that itll be worth it.

That's gonna go perfect with the Revolution. D-Pad, buttons, and color scheme are all the same.

Very sexy. I'd prefer this over my current DS, but I doubt I'll trade mine in unless EB has some sort of deal.

What do you thinnk about the Pictocaht online feature. it's rumored. Yet they don't have fulld etails on this yet.

PLUS at the WiFi site they have a section for Pictochat saying to stay tuned for future information. There were also talkings about the first firmeware upgrade for DS. So the rumor is this will come ith it installed and when you log on with the old version you download the update to get Pictochat Online.

Also for anyone who says this is dumb, they did the same thing with GBA the SP came out like 1.5-2 years later.

This will be like 1.5 years.

I think I'm going April or May 8 for Gatsbys, Cartel, and the Starting Line...will probably leave before TSL though before all the 12 year olds take over.

While the LCD screens remain the same size, they are now brighter. You can even adjust the brightness between four different settings. Now, this one is currently announced for release in Japan on March 9, 2006 at a price of 16,800 yen ($145), which includes AC adapter. That is about $15 more than the current Nintendo DS sells for in Japan. Nintendo expects to make the product available in three different colors at launch. .
No word yet on when - or if - this one will see an American release. We will definitely be keeping our eye on this one

mitch, my life basically used to be video games. now it's music. I rarely have time for games, BUT the fact is, every game has seemed to bore me except the oens on DS. Its got some of the craziest awesome games.

Yeah, the Nintendo DS is full of such bizarre and unique experiences that it really captures your attention. It's something very different than what you're used to, but it has games that simply couldn't exist on the other consoles.

Nooooooo, I refuse too. I always try and beat a game before Gamefaqs or IGN. I just joined cadecus. I have to save the guys little sister. I'm not near africa.

Oh you just joined Cadeceus... I see... yeah, I can't really remember, but i'm sure you'll get the hang of it. I really dislike the whole disease thing.. I like the more "realistic" missions better.

I think it's a good twist kinda a cool story. I guess thats cool to learn this wont last though. Its more intense then i thought. liek that one girl who tries to kill herself.
