About time an athlete stepped up and said something.

except it's the "drunk" skier who made himself an ass with his comments. I know full well his comments would be incredibly well recieved, had it not been for his comments a few weeks ago.

c'mon, drunk skiing doesn't at least seem interesting?
besides, what he said, was it really that bad? i'd struggle to see how horrible it is to have a pro skier say he's done it drunk. unless you're affiliated with him, his comments aren't that big of a deal. it's refreshing that he doesn't shy away from being not so politically correct.

they are not doing anything illegal so if they want something done they need to change the law...pretty soon taking protein supplements and that stuff is going to be considered cheating.

dude, i dont know. bonds said he took steroids "unknowingly" (riiight) and i'm not about to discredit that huge novel written about armstrong because it was a french newspaper and they're "liars/cowards/whatever this country wants you to believe".
there's a lot more going here than protein supplements.
I love Bode Miller so much, I just read the article in TIME about him.

yeah except what Bonds took was legal at the time he took it...he never did anything illegal which is why he was never suspended for anything. i really don't know about Armstrong but what he is doing with raising money for cancer is amazing, cheating or not.

Okay so Bode Miller is a douchebag for skiing "drunk" (probably an exaggeration just to stir shit up) and never hurting anyone yet yesterday two sober snowboarders at Ski Liberty who had no control yet decided to go to the back side of the mountain and go down the hill as fast as they could and sent two people off in an ambulance, including one member of the snowboard school. I'm not trying to justify what he did, but in the big picture, his exaggeration isn't as dangerous as what you'd typically see on a mountain, especially seeing as how he is one of the more talented skiiers in the world.
But anyways, it's nice to hear about the steroids thing from someone not named Canseco.

bode miller's a douche.
i don't give a shit what he has to say about anything that doesn't involve going fast down a hill in the snow.
but, he's only famous every four years, so i guess he's gotta make the most of it.

He's been a world champion but no one knows anything about skiing so they just assume he's some chump who likes to run his mouth and not show anything for it.

Bode Miller is the reigning champion in the World Cup overall, the most coveted prize in Alpine skiing. He won two Olympic silver medals (giant slalom, combined) at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City, and also has five career medals (four golds) at world championships. He had flirted with the overall title for years (fourth in 2002, second in 2003, fourth in 2004) before finally winning it in 2005. Last season he became the first american in 22 years to capture Alpine's overall World Cup Title. That's what he's done lately.
