exactly. Brawl is a more perfected version of Melee... and i personally don't think the original comes close to matching the scale of the other two

Melee for sure. even though I love brawl. I still like the original but when I go back and play it I always find myself not having as much fun. Super Smash Bros. in general is a greaaat game though.

i didn't really like melllee, but thats mainly just cuz i hate game cube.

brawl is the one that i play now. i like it alot, but it doesn't compare to the original. lol

i've played melee and brawl to death. i don't know how exactly to emphasize this point, but i've spent a larger portion of my free time playing these two games since their launch (and a couple of weeks before launch for brawl). i can assuredly tell you that melee is a game reserved for the more professional players, mainly due to the fact that a commitment to one character is what you'll need to become amazing. the characters in melee tend to be weaker in general, with harder move sets (including wave dashing) within a game that's generally less forgiving. with all this said, brawl is the superior game in my opinion. practically every character that was sub-par in melee was pumped up in this one, with some obvious exceptions (shiek and falco come to mind, and the disaster-fest that is sonic cannot be overlooked). the move sets are more balanced, the added characters only add to the scale of the game, the stages are less consistent but still a lot to love, the music is unrivaled, the controls are tighter, the graphics are better (but not important to the overall fun of the game). in this long rant, i've set out to demonstrate why brawl is superior to melee: it is more fun. melee may have its hardcore fans defend it to death, but you can be just as skilled in brawl with a little less effort. i dare one of you to beat me and my trusty diddy ;)
