I would suggest listening to Nothing Is Sound, then. Good stuff.

Thanks. I'll give it a listen.

For those wanting a new record, aren't there two new albums that the band are currently working on?

4, actually. But there's only two that are currently "announced" so to speak. First one comes out in September.

Hey guys,

Check out the interview Switchfoot did with RELEVANT at Alive Fest. They talk about their partnership with One and other social justice issues: http://tr.im/qlrT (http://tr.im/qlrT)

I enjoy Foreman's solo work more, but switchfoot is a good jam.

The beautiful Letdown is their best IMO. Looking forward to some new stuff though. Jon's solo work is great too.

Been watching videos of Switchfoot playing some of their new songs, and i must say, I'm excited for the new album. I usually like Jon's solo stuff more than the full band... Oh! Gravity really didn't do it for me, the only track I really like on that album is the last one, but I have high hopes for this stuff. Hello Hurricane sounds super catchy, and Bullet Soul is an absolute jam. Should be good!

Their singles are stellar, but not really feeling the rest of the album.

I liked Beatiful Letdown, I thought Nothing Is Sound was ok, but I hated Oh! Gravity. The only song I liked off it was Awakening.

Stars is my favorite overall.

I just can't get into Switchfoot at all. I thought The Beautiful Letdown was garbage.

Yeah if you don't like Beautiful Letdown, you probably won't ever be able to get into Switchfoot. It will always be their defining album, IMO.

Switchfoot announced their new album, Hello Hurricane, to arrive this October. Pre-orders begin in early August.

"Hello Hurricane acknowledges the storms that tear through our lives...this album is an attempt to respond to those storms with an element of hope, trying to understand what it means to be hopeful in a world that keeps on spinning." - Jon Foreman

I've been really getting into them lately. I've always kinda liked them, but thought I grew out of their sound. Vice Verses caught me by surprise though. Their songwriting is so simple but yet somehow so brilliant. Lyrically Jon Foreman is unrivaled his niche. Now I'm getting back into their back catalog.
