View Full Version : Greatest Improvement Over Previous Effort
What full length album is infinitely better than the previous release from the same band?
For the record, I like quite a few of the cds (Sink or Swim, Buddha, Major Motion Picture, and Baseball), but people obv give a lot more love to the cds released directly after. For me, It's Fall Out Boy because I cannot stand Evening, and TTTYG is a one of my top 5 favorite cds, but I'd expect to see a lot of Say Anything love (because a lot of people have ...Is A Real Boy as a top one or two favorite cd ever) and Dude Ranch (Since Buddha just is not a very good cd at, but you have to like it because it's Blink).
Oh well, I'm sure I missed some pretty key choices, and I apologize. I will add an "Other" option.

Where's the poll?
Ha, sorry, I guess I'm not sure what I'm doing. That's the only way I know how to post the poll. I hope it was worth the wait..... feel free to add suggestions, and I will try and add a couple to a poll. If that's allowed? Sorry. Noob.

Radiohead (Pablo Honey-->The Bends). Really the only correct answer, seeing as Pablo Honey sucked far worse than almost all of the 'previous' albums on here and The Bends is much better than all of the 'improved' records.
Your Favorite Weapon to Deja?
I know a lot of people love Deja more than YFW, but I was under the impression that 95% of people on AP.net love everything they have ever done. I like YFW more, but I am a sucker for pop-punk, probably my greatest flaw.
I voted for Blink 182. They're supposed to win everything aren't they?

St. Anger to Death Magnetic. Huge improvement, even if it was just because St. Anger was so bad.
I love Sink or Swim. A lot.
I'd have to say Fall Out Boy, just because I didn't like Evening Out very much.

I'd have to say FOB made the biggest change out of the choices available, but Thrice had an even bigger one between The Illusion Of Safety and The Artist In The Ambulance. Valencia had a great improvement between their debut and their follow-up too.

Umm... Blink had a record between Buddha and Dude Ranch. Cheshire Cat anyone? Newly recorded Carousel, M+M's, Peggy Sue, Wasting Time, etc.

Yeah, and Buddha wasn't even released on CD until 1998. This poll is whack.

I still think Sink and Swim is better than 59 sound.
Best improvement for me would be The Dangerous Summer atm as i really couldnt get into IOYCKMA but Reach For the Sun is by Album of the year so far.

It really was. Patrick has improved his vocals so much. TTYG is amazing.
I'd say the TBS-TAYF was a big improvement too and YFW-Deja was big for Brand New. But I like their early albums much better than I like evening.
