Less Than Jake (http://www.lessthanjake.com) have announced plans to release a four song EP entitled Absolution For Idiots and Addicts before the release of their forthcoming full-length, however no official release date has been set of yet. The EP will contain two tracks that are set to appear on the bands new record ("Overrated", "Rest of My Life"), In With the Out Crowd, while it will also contain two other songs ("We, the Uninspired", "Negative Sides of Optomistic Eyes") that will be left off the album. Stay tuned for an official release as well as more information regarding the release coming soon.

Sounds awesome, I'm pretty surprised that 'We, The Uninspired' isn't making it to the record though.

Eh overrated was... well, overrated. It has huge potential as single, as it is very bouncy and catchy, but it didnt do much for me.

I don't like the sound of this. An EP before the album.....most likely the sales of the EP will be used to judge how much money Warner will invest in the new album.

I guarantee this comes out on FBR.

Hey do you guys remember before "Anthem" was released, they said they had so many b-sides from that album, they were going to release 4 seperate EPs on 4 seperate labels, one of them being Drive Thru. It never happened though. Anyone else remember this? Anyways, I just busted out the Anthem cd last week for the first time since I bought it (the week it came out) and I love it, I dont know why I wasnt into it when they first came out. These guys are so fun to listen to.

it never happened because wb said no you guys can't release them unless you do it through us. so it became the bsides album instead of seperate eps on seperate labels.

I dont see why they dont release all their stuff off of FBR. I mean they've got the distro of a major label, and since they pretty much run it, they can actually do whatever they want, instead of having to make crappy MTV/Fuse friendly singles (like Overrated).

But this is just me.

instead of having to make crappy MTV/Fuse friendly singles (like Overrated)..

because LTJ never made pop songs before they were signed to major labels, right?
