He won his seventh grand slam championship at the tender age of 24. He's already halfway to Sampras's record. Amazing. Anyway, did anyone just see him cry while accepting the trophy? He's usually so emotionless, but he even hugged Rod Laver (perhaps the greatest player of all time, and just so happens to be the person the arena the Australian Open is played in is named after). Awesome sports moment.

True, but he beat roddick so i was kinda hoping federer would shut him out. As much as I like watching Roddick's matches, Federer's are just sick because he makes like one error a set.

Roddick seems like he's turning out to be a bust. He won a grand slam, and hasn't since. Everyone has figured out how to return his serve, and many have developed a big serve like his, so he has nothing special to his game.

roddick is good but not great
and federer has a long way to go
it takes more than a couple
great years to become a legend
for the record i am a fan of federer

Yeah, but Federer's not showing any signs of stopping. He's already equaled McEnroe's total number of Grand Slam championships. He'll go down as one of the all-time greats.

I think Sampras in his prime would beat Roger as of now, but I don't think Roger is in his prime yet, so we'll see.
