Every "star" you've ever wasted a wish on turned out to be a satellite.

and I couldn't honestly call you "empty" or "insecure"
but you're sure as fuck not "right"
I've tried to be that exit sign in the dark hallway
linoleum floors + blood = a mean slip and slide.
But the flickering broken sign always turned out to be you in the bathtub,
and I couldn't say I was upset.
I'm always brought back in when I think I'm finally out.
