I was just about to make a thread on this. This is bullshit that he keeps bitching out of the dunk content.

yeah. i don't watch dunk contests, whether it's the stupid high school or college ones that espn airs or the nba one. it's all the same dunks over and over that you see every year.
until it was mentioned in an earlier post, i would not have been able to say who the defending champion was, that's how uninteresting it is to me.

If they really want to get people to watch and get some attention why not shell out a mill or 2 mill to big name guys? I mean you can easily make up for that in advertising, ratings, and I'm sure random other things.

Last years was really good minus the Birdman. Fuck Lebron. He's too scared that he will not live up to expectations. I never really wanted him in it anyway. I want...
Josh Smith
Amare (so Nash could do his Soccer shit)
Desmond Mason
J-Rich

How about they do it for fun, to pay the fans back for shelling out 50 bucks a ticket for games, and to bring attention and excitement to the sport?
Just a thought.

i think they should just let it go. it's the same old windmill dunks, alley-oops from teammates standing in the crowd and bouncing balls off the backboard to yourself. it's all tired and boring now.

Chris Andersen takes the cake though. Then when he kept fucking up his teammates dunk and Charles Barkley was screaming "SABOTAGE!"

generally speaking they've all become boring to me. that and the fact that espn puts one on for college and high school makes them more cheap than they should be.

Straight up, he needs to be in atleast one. If he shows up, it gains instant attention and the more likely bigger stars will say yes. The dunk contest really is no more anymore and should be a part of the skills competition. Maybe one year you can have a bunch of stars go in and do it, but otherwise we'll never have dr. j-type of players in it again.
