I heard the new TBS cd and frankly, I am kinda disappointed. I personally think the band was best with Fred.
A decade under the influence and Timber wolves at New jersey are their best songs.
What do you think?

Are you serious? Album of the year without a doubt.

you think their new stuff is better? really? I listened to it and was like eh.. louder now was better.
And i forgot MakeDamnSure is one of their best too
murrich
06/13/09, 05:08 PM
Yeah I love how it's New Again (lol). What don't you like about it.
I'm not sure if I prefer Louder Now, it's hard to beat a masterpiece.

I don't hear enough back up vocals from the new guy fazzi. Fred sounded better. It is all about Adam in this one and i like how it is different but sink into is kinda lame with all the "hey" screaming. I still like their lyrics but the sound just doesn't feel like tbs. I like capital M-E, Where my mouth is, and swing. The rest are kinda like eh... could have been better
murrich
06/13/09, 05:17 PM
Yeah Fazzi can't compare to Freddy, I loooooooooooooove Adams vocals though, his voice is so unique.
Yeah I thought the lyrics were brilliant.
I'm worse, than what you think you'd catch from me
"complicated"s understated
Did you stop and take a look in who you fell in love with?
At who you fell in love with
It doesn't matter how many times i say it
It never gets old
That's what i have to say
Wow...
Wow...
Wow...
They're so personal, I can relate to it.

genius. I love their lyrics. Who ever writes it deserves some brownies.
Apparently the song Capital M-E is a diss song to Fred. It sounds more like they are paying homage to him then dissing them.
I heard the one that fred made and it seemed more malcontent.

Hahahahaha wooooowwwww. You're right, clearly that one recording artists music taste was better then the rest of the fucking worlds.
I love love love how you search through for my profile for a band you don't like to try to invalidate my point. That's really bad ass of you.

No, not really.

Where You Want to Be was okay, and I liked 2 or 3 songs on Louder Now. I tried listening to New Again and I just really couldn't stand it. I won free tickets to see them next week so I'm going to give it another listen, but I really couldn't stand it the first time so I doubt I'll like it this time around either. Tell All Your Friends is one of my favorite albums, but nothing they've done after has come even close to touching that in my opinion, and they've gotten worse with each album.

Ok A) That's not a sentence
and B) That statement is probably the most bone-headed thing I've heard in a while. Lou Reed help influence an entire musical genre. The Velvet Underground was one of the main influences on the New York punk scene. You know, the ramones, the stooges? Heard of them? Who has Lazzara influenced? A bunch of high school douchebags who think that hanging a microphone around there neck makes them a good singer? Please just think before you speak.

2. No, they sound horrible.
3. Without Taking Back Sunday there would be no The Color Fred.

Ok jesus you have so many incorrect statements it's getting difficult to number.
1a. Ramones released there first album in 1976, the sex pistols in 1977, nice try though
1b. The NY punk scene and the London punk scene were two completely different things until '79.
2. Yeah clever
3. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha haha. Nice defense. The Color Fred was not influenced by taking back sunday. He WAS taking back sunday. And he's not any good.

This is off topic but I've been recommending it everywhere lately, and you seem to like good music.
You should listen to some of David Eugene Edwards work, either in 16 Horsepower or Woven Hand, both are good.

New Again>>>>>>Where You Want To Be>>>>>>Louder Now>>>>Tell All Your Friends
See, with TAYF, they were just youngins breaking into the music scene. They didn't know what they were doing and it created a subpar album. When they released Where You Want To Be, they were like, "Im tired of all the hate on us, lets make a record that kills puppies". That album worked well for them. When it was time to release Louder Now, they just kind of BS'd it and created a crappy album. Finally, when they went in the studio to create NEW AGAIN with Fazzi, they were like,"Lets fuck shit up and rape some stuff". There, you have my play-by-play of this band.
