James and I are gods of stupid titles. Anyways, I wrote this back when I was writing part 2 of TBLS, but I've just decided to post it now... its like my old style (obviously) but with poppiness!
And I love the way you look
tonight is just for us:
all the empty promises
and broken words
all the cliche verses
and nonsense verbs
We lived life based on TV screens
its the incandescent light that guides our way
the perfect dark seems out of reach
yeah but tonight...
tonight is just for us
I don't know why it gets me
Yeah, baby, it gets me
So many things we don't understand
but we never ask questions
this will be the first time in our lives
when we don't rely on someone else
they say we'll just hurt ourselves
but what do they know?
they can't even look out for themselves
And we know damn well,
you can look out for yourself
Now there's these
digital cameras
the'se blinds and these shutters
you take it all for granted don't you?
(you take me for granted don't you?)
You take me for granted don't you?
Isn't it funny how we only want something when its gone?
You take me for granted don't you?
Isn't it funny how we only want something when its gone?
You take me for granted don't you?
Isn't it funny how we only want something when its gone?
When its gone
When its gone
When its gone
Well I'm gone...
Fin.
Originally this was written after I broke up with my ex... and then rewritten when I was writing TBLS. Think Taking Back Sunday with the ending.
