Jamison didn't have a band before. He recorded some demos by himself, but that is it. Parker was the drummer of Astoria I believe.

The songs wouldnt be bad at all if Jamison would just sing them normal instead of doing a terrible Robert Smith Impression or whatever that is on "This is Goodbye." I know its not that he is really struggling to hit those notes because he hit higher on JP stuff both on record and live.

i know i've put this up in about four other places but here's the explanation again......
the two songs that are posted are what i feel to be on opposite sides of the spectrum with what the album will hold..... so expect these and everything in between to bridge that gap.

weak, and capable of alot better. though i could have predicted him goin in this darker direction. the lyrics of the ep didnt really match the upbeat pop punk. not that i had a problem with that i enjoyed both the ep and sleepwalker(minus a couple repetitive songs on the latter)

The thing that I don't understand is why does he insist on making his voice sound like that (refering to This Is Goodbye) when I know he is a much better singer than what that makes him seem because I've seen him live quite a few times and JP always put on a great show.

If it wasn't for that the songs would be pretty enjoyable in my opinion.

Am I the only one that prefers him trying to sound like Robert Smith over him whisper-singing like half of the tracks off of Sleepwalker? I think these show promise, although I did think that JP was progressing to a much better sound before they broke up.

I wish the tracks were still up but my first reaction was glee when I heard the noises (I don't know what to technically call them) in the background. I loved seeing JP live because they'd always play with that Jesus Mary Chain-esuqe sound, I tried my hardest to record live audio the last time I saw them live cause I love the different sound it gives the songs. As for his voice yeah it could be better but I am just putting in faith that they will be much better considering they recorded it only a little more than a month of Jamison announcing he was demoing. I miss Jamison Parker, but in a way I am happier with the new route it seems Jamsion is taking with the music, he just needs to lose the Robert Smith vocals which everyone seems to agree with.
