Monty (http://www.montyrock.com) have been spending this month writing new material and will continue doing so throughout the month of February. The band plans on hitting the studio in the beginning of March to record their new tunes with Matt Squire (Northstar, Panic! At The Disco).

They still haven't said whether or not they signed with Takeover Records... They probably did, and just haven't announced it yet.

since you're from chicago, i doubt you've had much interaction with them. they are some of the nicest people i have ever worked with and they're one of the hardest working bands that are unsigned.

Honestly, how can someone call these guys pricks? I think they're some of the nicest dudes, and they create killer music. And Matt Squire..that's huge for these guys.

I think they signed to Stolen Transmission Records, which is an imprint of Island

Clearly you haven't heard The Red Shift.

No, so untrue. They are all sweethearts, and nice to even their most obnoxious fans. I've known them for a while, all wicked nice guys.

Fuck these guys RULE!!!

I'd like to hear a full-band version of "The Storm Before the Calm," even though they probably wish they never had to hear it again...
