Is it like continued from the previous?

Yes, in that it takes place AFTER the events in the first. But the story has no bearing on what came before, and everything seems to have be reimagined. All in all, it's a much better film.
Is Monokoe still the highest grossing movie of all time in Japan?
nvm, i found out it isnt

I Don't think so...but I'm not sure, Spirited Away and The Ring were huge successes lately, and they came out after Mononoke I think. But again, I am not sure.

I've been thinking of getting the Fullmetal Alchemist books but I'm not too keen on them being good. I believe Vampire D was written before the anime but I'm still weary.
looks like Akira has won!!

It's definitely one of my favorites. I should watch it again this weekend. I watched Pom Poko last night (another Ghibli movie) and it was pretty odd. The raccoons used their scrotums as parachutes.
