NEW YORK -- Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith could become the third player to win consecutive NBA slam dunk contests when he participates in the event during All-Star weekend.

Michael Jordan won back-to-back competitions in 1987-88 and Jason Richardson did it in 2002-03.

Joining Smith in contest this year will be Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks 5-foot-9 guard Nate Robinson and Hakim Warrick of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Nate Rob is listed at 5'9'', but I had classes with the guy and he's not an inch over 5'7''. This is going to be sweet...Spud Webb 2?

i think the 5'9 is pretty close. he is taller then 5'7. im 5'8 and when i watched him play at santa clara a couple years ago he was taller then me. i do hope he does well in the competition

It's not. Pick up any article ever written about Nate Rob and they will say he's listed at 5'9'' but he's more like 5'7'' or 5'8''. I've even heard some people speculate that he's only 5'6''. I'm going to trust my first hand expierence with Nate a little more than yours, no offense ;)

it's like how Iverson is listed as 6' but a lot of people say he is more like 5'11"

it's all about Earl Boykins though who is like 5'5"

Iguodala should win this. Nate's gonna get all of the hype. It's probably going to be between Smith and Iguodala, but Andre should take it.
