I like the idea of this thread (:
The highlight of my day was probably when I was out for a walk, and the clouds suddenly gathered and the rain poured. I ran all the way back home getting refreshed by the rain. And then the sound of thunder made me jump and feel alive. Haha.

After my science exam at school (which went very well) two friends (holly and kevin) and I walked to the mall. we hung out for a bit, saw a very hot guy, looked at some cute animals. After kevin left we walked back but our feet hurt so we took our flip flops off and walked in the grass. We picked some flowers and had a slushie. Then we filled up some water balloons and threw them at some guys (who then attacked us with the ones that missed them).
Twas a good day, only one day of school left :D

Oh damn that sounds really awkward... was there something wrong with the director?
And yes I am SO happy already. My last three shows were this past weekend and when they were over I just felt a huge sense of relief.
I'm still going to take ballet next year though because I'm close with my teacher and would feel weird ditching out on her my last year ya know?

They've been planning on starting their own studio for several years, and our old studio owner was a raging bitch. We got a new owner in December who is batshit crazy. They were being professional and not talking about it, but she found out, fired them 2 weeks before competition, got bitched out by every person in the studio, rehired them, and we've had a pretty awkward year since. But the entire competition team is leaving, it's been crazy.
Mine were too, our senior recital went until midnight last night.
That's good though so you'll still have it somewhat. I'm going the opposite direction, I'm doing so many dances next year.

Wow that's really fucking awkward. But at least the crazy lady is getting what she deserves by losing her whole competition team. And that's mad cool that you get to keep your group together.
You're lucky you still have it in you to do that many dances. I've been done with it for so long but I never wanted to actually give it up until this year. I hate the environment my studio owner has set up throughout all these years, which is why I needed to peaceeeeeeeeeee

Yeah...she owns another studio too, and their production was about sleep. She choreographed the whole thing, and it had to be the creepiest, strangest, and worst dance I've ever seen. So glad my teachers chose this year to leave.
Yeah I feel like there are so many things left that I want to do with dance and I only have a year left to do them. I have about a hundred songs I want to dance too, and I'll be doing at least two solos, two duets, and a trio on top of all my group dances. Good thing I don't care about my social life. What's so bad about the environment she has set up?

Hahaha you sound exactly like my best friend. She did 18 dances this past year in competition. And she didn't have much of a social life besides dance and her boyfriend hahah. Enjoy your last year!!

Yeah, paying that much for 2 and a half minutes on stage is just an insult. Especially with shitty judges who say 4 words on the tapes, don't even get me started. My friend tore her ACL and has to wear a brace, and one judge went on for almost a minute about how distracting it was and how the teachers should've taken her out, she was sobbing. I hate 90% of things about competitions, unfortunately.
Our moms are amazing, not gonna lie. Shitty new owner's husband sent girls on stage with 2 still changing last night and I got to be backstage as one of their moms tore him a new one. Very amusing.

Hahahaha my studio owner's husband is shitty too! But blah definitely don't want to get started on him.
Lot's of judges don't even watch the dances I feel like because they are too busy writing random shit on the scoresheets. I'm with you on hating 90% of things about competitions. One of the things I regret most about taking up dance instead of soccer (had to make a choice in 5th grade) is how wasteful dance is, between costumes, make up, pointless trophies, money money money, gas, etc....

Yeah, I mean I know they have to be there all day for a weekend, but someone is making serious bank off of those things and it's especially shitty when the only dances to get platinum are the ones with a thousand pump turns and switch leaps and absolutely no dancing. Competition really does ruin dance, as elitist as it sounds. I used to play field hockey and horseback ride and I chose dance over both. I do miss the field hockey a lot but there are many days when I wish I had chosen riding. So much less bullshit.

Mine was about half an hour away, it was the cost that was the problem. I still have all this expensive crap in my basement, a really nice saddle, riding boots, all the show clothes and everything. I was pretty good at it, I won a couple local shows doing jumping before I quit. It was when they were offering for me to go to Lake Placid and spend hundreds of dollars and talking about buying a horse that I realized I really wouldn't be able to afford to do anything else.
I kinda do miss the school sport thing, but not that much. I've never been much of a school spirit person, I have plenty of friends on all the teams but I just don't care. And our football team is the joke of the county anyways.
Edit: Highlight of my day - just took my last final, and I get to go hang out with my gay best friend after work for celebration.

You got much further with it than I did! I never did any competitions or anything.
I don't really feel like I miss it for the school spirit or whatever, but it was an oppertunity I missed to meet a lot more people, save a lot more money, and probably be more athletic in the long run

awesome...definitely a lot of stress off your shoulders in that case. My dad told me when I graduated college that I'd get a new car when I got done with Law School...granted...that's 3 years and i might die during it, but it's a nice thought!
Btw, how can you live in Indiana? I drove through on my way to Cedar Point this weekend and oh my god I wanted to shoot myself. There's NOTHING!
A new car is definitely a nice thought. My parents would never do that, even if they could.
Ha, well I don't really have much say in the matter since I was born here. But yes, for the most part it's really boring here. You really have to look in order to find anything worthwhile, but there are some pretty entertaining things here once you stumble across them.

Their called The Felix Culpa. I think they've only toured the midwest, so I'm not sure if you would've played with them. Their damn talented and good guys though. I keep trying to get them on this site but I think they view it as a "hot topic" or something, for emo kids. Still pushing though.

Have you heard whats up on Walking Toward Eternity's myspace? If not, check it. But like its all metal completely.. and Ethan with the new guys (me included) want a more... singable sound, I mean Ethan might still throw some intense screaming vocals in here and there, but for the next year... until Cornerstone next year and possibly warped... we will be working on a whole entirely new sound.

Yeah well my grandma apparenlty uses onions all the time (the only explanation I got for it was that it's because she's italian which makes no sense to me at all), so my dad (who's a cook) uses them a lot, and before him and my mom broke up, he would put onions in the food and she liked it when she was pregnant with me, so now she uses them all the time. So I kind of grew up with onions, I like them so much that I even love the smell.

It's pretty good, I would cut the clove in half and put some of it in a bowl and pour soy sauce in it, and eat it that for breakfast or whatever then have an onion bagel with a blueberry hot chocolate (every once in a while) for lunch or whatever. And on the rare times I had popcorn at my house, I would put garlic powerder on it. But I moved on to other things, I dont think I've had any of those foods in a few months.

I was working in Oxfam today, doing some volunteer work. My boss, Vicki, asked me where i went to primary school and as i was answering her this woman approached the counter and asked me what my name was, i told her because i recognised her. Turned out she was the head teacher when i was at school. It was such a huge coincidence, but it was nice seeing someone i hadn't seen for almost 10 years.
Then, about half hour later, this kid who must have been 11 or 12 came in and randomly donated £10, which i thought was awesome because i would have never done that at his age. It was quite inspiring to see someone so young doing that.
