Just curious, are there any college athletes on the site? If so let me know what sport you play and which school.

I often feel like the only guy on my team that appreciates music outside of the radio rap/alterna/nu metal. Anyone else identify with that?

Indiana Tech, what what! Haha, but I understand how you feel. I feel like a lot of the time I'm the only athlete that has a passion for something other then my sport.

I played division 1 tennis for Loyola College (MD) for three years (my last year i was a student teacher and could not possibly play and complete my degree, i wasn't on scholarship and my coach was cool with it)
It was cool because I got to play these awesome foreign guys who would kill me, but i had a fun time. Played a kid who was from peru, he was number two in the country in his age group, he beat me 6-2-6-2, also played a guy who played davis cup for the virgin islands (meaning he plays for them in international competitions) yeah, it wasn't pretty.
And let me tell you, the life of a non-scholarship athlete on a small sport is much different than these babies you see on tv. We got no scholarship, no room and board, we played both spring and fall season, we would travel with 8 guys in a van, with all our overnight bags and tennis bags, it was rough at times but definately a good experience

yea, exactly what i'm talking about. i love baseball and love music too. no one really seems to share my same passion for good lyrics/riveting musicianship, etc. oh well. they don't know what they're missing out on.

I played college football for one season at Fordham and then transfered to Hofstra where I got hurt and reshirted and then got hurt in the beginning of the lacrosse season. After that I was forced to retire from all organized sports which just sicked dick.

I play at Allegheny, in northwest PA. We are actually a club team, but we almost made regionals last year, we lost to Bucknell in the game for the last spot into it.

Did you watch the championship games at all (Brown v Colorado), because the Zipperstein guy was fucking fast.

So cool, i saw that game on tape, but i think it was just the highlights of it, not the whole game. Are you going to Georgia for high tide in march, or any tournaments soon?

I had an offer from RPI to play there. (top 10 D3 school) but then I tore my rotator cuff before my senior year of high school and haven't pitched an inning since.

Sucks.

I've got a friend going there. I've been talking to a few low d-1's and some d-2/d-3 schools. But I'm on the verge of rotator cuff surgery myself.

They recruited me heavily, had me stay over a night with the team, got me into the school etc.

As much as they could do as a D3 school basically.

Passed up on baseball at my old school to work. Don't think I still have the skills to play at USF

I ran NAIA track at Corban College my freshman year. Tuition was too expensive, and the scholarship couldn't cover as much as I needed. Now I'm at a community college that doesn't have a team any more.

Palm Beach Atlantic University. It was a small school, so making the team would not have been an issue. I figured work was more efficient than playing sports, because I was decent...but not near good enough to make a career out of it.

Florida schools are nice for baseball. I've been getting some interest from a couple D-2/D-3's. And two D-1 in the northeast. It's an interesting process to say the least.

One of my buddies just got the luckiest gig ever...he was playing for UCF, but decided he was going to transfer to the USF medical program...however, he is on a waiting list to get in, so UCF offered him a coaching/assistant job for the baseball team, making 100k/year until he decides to go back to school.

Played baseball at the JC level, was planning on transferring somewhere, but 3 concussions and a torn labrum in two years pretty much ended any chance of that.

My final decisions are Siena College and Philadelphia University.
