I'm psyched for the competition already, I'm hoping the US Women get a medal.

Either way, I'm gonna be watching every second of it...

curling owns.

No americans get it.

Rather, FEW americans get it.

flash animations of how all the sports are played, the curling one is excellent. It is refered to as "Chess on ice", no wonder americans don't understand it.

It seems rather simple at face value, but it has to be so incredibly hard to put a stone exactly where you want it, and doing it all with brooms and a little spin

I had to take curling in my high school gym class.

It was the best module.

that would have been awesome. We wanted to start a curling team in my high school, but I am trying to do it here at my college, if for nothing else, fun. It seems like one of those sports you spend years on and can still suck at and never get anywhere near the target

Combination of Curling and Hockey = best

Curling never gets enough credit this side of the border.

For example:

"Uh-oh, looks like a pair of Yankee Doodles have taken to the ice
This should excite both of our viewers"

not enough credit at all.

Haha, count me in.

My ultimate team is pretty bad, since we're a smaller school, so we usually get fairly drunk in the fall when we are at tourneys. Last year, we went to a scrub tourney, beat the host team 15-1 in our first game, then we started drinking. About 4 hours later, in the semis, we played them again and lost 15-1 because our captain was puking over by a fence and nobody on our team could run let alone throw a frisbee

haha my high shcool ultimate team was like that, but my college team takes it much more serious. I miss doing that, although the amount of running you have to do, i always felt like shit if i drank and played at the same time.

yeah, we don't drink in the spring because we try to get ready for sectionals, but I love the fall, and its an easy way to keep freshmen interested in the game

Your joking right? i am sure it is hard to play and take lots of pratice but....seriously, you wonder why amreicans dont like it, all american sports or sports popular in america involve Action, Big Hits, Excitement. i dont quite think curling has that.

I've been curling with my aunt and uncle. they belong to a curling club in rochester, ny. It was really cool...suprisingly hard. The people who were really good at it were awesome to watch.
