Thats good going. Should be interesting to see how it sells when its released over here in the UK in a few weeks.
just out of curiosity, anyone know if the video's been sticking around on the trl countdown, or was it just the one time? (i haven't watched the show since high school, and don't have any plans to start again)

That was a good call - but a quite easy one as well - they're about a thousand times better than FOB. FOB is wack!

So they have like doubled the sales of said headlining tour and is the reason why all these shows have sold out is because of P!ATD because that is my theory. Also, it made me very sad to see they are going to be main support over Acceptance who obviously deserves it. It's all good though, congrats to them.

i dont think they'll be bigger than FOB because Panic doesnt have those boyish good looks...but then again Fall Out Boy doesnt either so I don't know what happened there.

Exactamundo.
I find Panic's music much more catchy, and the danciness just adds to the catchyfactor.

thats nuts
Their success probably isn't a huge shocker to people around these boards. I dont really know how you judge hugeness besides going by album sales but I could tell upon the first listen of their demos that they were gonna be pretty successful. I think when I got the album I predicted gold status...but now I would not be the least bit surprised to see it go platinum.
The question I have been wondering is what band is next in line after Yellowcard, FOB, and PatD to strike it bigtime.... The Academy Is? Motion City Soundtrack? Jack's Mannequin/SoCo?(it's high fucking time they get some exposure)
If I had to put stock in 10 bands that are on the cusp of bigtime status(gold/platinum) I would probably rank em like this (1 being the most likely to hit the jackpot)
1. The Academy Is (mark it...the next release from TAI will debut in the Billboard top 20)
2. Say Anything (there is no band with more people anticipating a new release than SA...minus Brand New maybe)
3. Motion City Soundtrack (they had a nice stepping stone to hit it big with the Fusion Tour)
4. Jack's Mannequin (one would think success for JM would carry over to SoCo releases in the future)
5. Midtown (the fact that these guys arent household names by now still baffles and angers me)
6. Saves the Day (wishful thinking, but they deserve it and Vagrant did it once with Dashboard....)
7. Straylight Run
8. The Rocket Summer (seriously, someone had to love Hello, Good Friend as much as me)
9. Gatsby's American Dream (the buzz has to catch on sometime doesn't it?)
10. The Format
Other possibilities....Paramore, Armor For Sleep, Hot Hot Heat, Mae, Anberlin, Head Automatica, Copeland.
