In the last 15 Super Bowls, the team with the tougher regular season schedule won 8 out of 15 games. Now that doesn't seem like much of an advantage, but then you need to look at how big the difference in the strength of schedule was.
Biggest difference by a winning team: .094, when the 91 Redskins (.504) beat the 91 Bills (.410)
Biggest difference by a losing team: .067, when the 99 Titans (.430) lost to the 99 Rams (.363)
When the difference between the SOS's is greater than .030, the team with the tougher schedule is 6-3.
The Steelers (.492) have a .062 advantage over Seattle (.430). That's the 4th largest difference in the last 16 seasons.

00 Ravens and 02 Bucs are considered to have two of the best defenses ever, and the 99 Rams are one of the best offenses ever. Special circumstances there.
pointless.
Illiterate. This SB has a high SOS difference.

Who cares? Easy to have great defenses against pathetic teams and to run up the score on bottom of the barrel teams.
The rams schedule of .363 is stupid no special circumstance there.

99 Rams 0.363 (-) .067
99 Titans 0.430
92 Cowboys 0.426 (-) .066
92 Bills 0.492
Those look awfully similar to this game.

Umm, this is extremely trivial and has no validity what so ever.

Are you actually disputing how good the 00 Ravens and 02 Bucs are? Those teams backed it up in the playoffs, and not just the Super Bowl. They belong in NFL history, as does the greatest show on turf.
Rams had a weak schedule because they were a bad team that came out of nowhere. They still dominated everyone, scoring at least 21 points in every game (even the losses).
The 92 Cowboys beating the shit out of the Bills might be the most surprising for this thread, but then again, Buffalo should have lost to Houston on WC weekend in the first place.

It's exactly what has been argued everywhere for the last week and a half, but actually put into context.
