Rumors recently posted on DrivingThru.co.uk (http://DrivingThru.co.uk) include: "The Afterword will be recording demos with Jesse Cannon (The Cure, Northstar) in March for Drive Thru Records (http://www.absolutepunk.net/label/drive-thru%20records)," and "is Never Heard Of It (http://www.neverheardofit.com) the newest DTR/Rushmore signing?"

I couldn't see NHOI signing with a label...they are doing more than fine on their own and they are pretty proud of that fact.

I almost guarantee they'll sign with a label in the next couple months.

i used to like these guys back in high school. i still think they do the whole pop punk thing better than most bands out there today. it's great that DJ doesnt have that annoying pop-punk voice, and that they don't dress like "scene kids" if that makes sense.

their lyrics can be ATROCIOUS though.

NHOI is doing MORE than fine on their own. They have made it for themselves and I really respect them for that. But I guess signing with a label will give them somewhat of a better financial support and that always helps. Good for NHOI if they get signed.

Just give us Madison Bleek or whatever his name was to come in here and drop some rumors...it's been a long time. Or that other guy who I don't remember.

if NHOI goes thru Drive Thru, it will be the newest big money making band for Drive Thru....NHOI is a great band consisting of great dudes and I personally think it would be in Steph and Richards best interests to push them on DT. A Re Release of 11 days would be sick thru drive thru then following up with their latest full length.

I hope they do. NHOI are a great group of guys and just the exsposher they might get. I know they are one of the top DIY bands but with a little help, they could be the next New Found Glory

I figured someone would have mentioned this by now. I was just too late! They will definatley sign with DTR. There are just somethings, bands cannot do with out labels, they will sign very soon.

Congrats to NHOI if they do choose to go to Drive-Thru or any other label they sign to. It bothers me when people hate on Drive-Thru and talk so much crap. Majority of these people that hate know that they liked the earlier Drive-Thru bands and if they didn't then...I'm sorry. When you are one of those mid-level/higher end labels it's difficult to keep bands when they either flop or make it big and sign to a larger label. For what it's worth Drive-thru kicks ass and I love you

11 Days is the catchiest record in a long time. I busted it out the other night for the first time in forever.

More on The Afterword: Apparently theyve done a demo deal with drive-thru so theyre not actually signed, Drive Thru are just testing the water as it was before they make a final decision.

i don't really see the NHOI thing being true. that band has been around for awhile now (3+ years) and they've done almost everything on their own...and for them to only be offered a DTR contract now seems kinda late on their part. i would think DTR would have gotten on them awhile ago.

The Afterword is looking for a drummer and will be recording soon. From Loren's Livejournal:

"I'm having terrible anxiety about the band. Everything I'm doing with my life routes through it. I'm driving out to Grand Rapids tomorrow to try out drummers for the band with Mike. We have a lot of work to do finishing songs before we head into the studio to record for DTR/Rushmore in five weeks. We can finish everything, I know we can.

I think I'm stressing out about uncertainty regarding the band right now, as far as a permanent line-up goes. Patrick was part of the family, and now I'm feeling pressured to be strict about his replacement personality-wise. I honestly felt like nobody in my band would ever ever ever leave. I know for certain that Ross, Farrell, Nate and I are the core and this sort of thing will never happen again."
