9 time pro bowler, 4th all time in passing yards, and 5th in passing TDs - Imagine what it could have been if he'd not played those years in the CFL and USFL. He was a pro bowler for Seattle at age 41... 59.3% 3678 yards 25TD 16INT

There are some good names on that ballot.

I think Warren Moon's the only QB to ever make the Pro Bowl with 3 different teams. He's one of the best drop back passers ever, and he had to deal with the racial problems black QB's faced then.

I think all these guys should get in this year, but with the 6 cutoff, I really don't know who to take off that list. It's embarassing that Madden isn't in the Hall of Fame yet (his game has been for a while now, right?). The guy's done more for football than any other non-player.

i don't think a video game, no matter how successful, should be anywhere near a reason to get into the hall of fame.
When did I say it did?

not to mention he had a short career. i forget the stat, but if you add up all of his pro totals (other leagues) he has an insane amount of yards.

point taken...but before that he spend six years in the CFL. he won 5 grey cups and 2 MOP's. He was a 9 time pro bowler in the NFL. and he did this as an undrafted qb.
plus he beat his wife...so he's got the criminal side that you need to be in the hall.

Those ones.
i disagree with moon making it. make a compelling case for him other than, "he threw for a lot of yards." drew bledsoe's thrown for a lot of yards too, and by the end of his career he will pass all of warren moon's milestones, he only actually needs two more full seasons to pass all of moon's milestones. he'll probably wind up with less ints too. now, does drew bledsoe deserve to be a hall of famer? the answer to that is definately no.

I think there is a much more compelling argument for Warren Moon over Madden. I'm pretty sure there is a broadcasters HOF, which he should be in.

Moon has 9 Pro Bowls, Bledsoe has 4
Moon has a better career completion %, YPA, TD:INT ratio, and passer rating
Moon has 22 rushing TD's to Bledsoe's 8
Moon's best year (1990 - 4689 yards and 33 TD passes) beats Bledsoe's pretty easily
Moon has better postseason numbers than Bledsoe
Moon's the first QB to complete over 400 passes in a season
Moon's the only QB to go to the Pro Bowl on 3 different teams
Moon made the Pro Bowl, throwing for 3700 yards and 25 TDs at age 41
I think Moon has a far better resume than Bledsoe.
uhhh john madden has the best regular season record in the history of the NFL
And he lost 6 AFCC games, which Tim Brown says old Raider players said Madden was the reason they didn't win more SB's.

You know, I don't buy that SportsCenter fodder for one second. Maybe the players are bitter for losing those games, but you can't lay blame on a coach. Madden wasn't playing out there. If he's a good enough coach to get them to 6 Conference Championships in the first place, you can't say "it's Madden's fault." The guy never had a losing season as a coach and helped get them to Super Bowl II before he was a head coach.

Brown said it on FSN. And of course you could blame a coach for a champioship loss, it's his gameplan and coaching during the game that matters as much as anything.

I was just coming in here to post that. I think Art Monk should go in already too. He keeps getting shafted.
Also, I predicted that it would be a class of 6, and predicted 4 of them correctly :) I just said the other two would be older

Reggie White, one of the major reasons the Packers returned to glory in the 1990's. I cried so much when he died.
