They utilize pop melodies with vaguely prog instrumentation. sounds like prog-pop to me. i don't know wwhat it is though.

You should check out Malajube. All of the lyrics are in french, but they're damn good.

Yeah, similar. This Town Needs Guns are a great band also. Chek out Foals too, there are a lot of similarities between them and Grammatics.
