post-rock

*Sorry if this sounds like self promotion. In the end I just want people who like this kind of music to know that there are resources out there to find other bands like Godspeed and Mogwai.
I am sure many of have heard or even listen to Godspeed You! Black Emperor and/or Mogwai. I was blown away at the emotional content their music brings. One song can put me in this sort of depressed melancholy state while the next might uplift my spirits and literally bring a smile to my face with a feeling of pure euphoria. I loved that about their music because most of the time it was done so without any words. My trouble was finding other artists with that similar sound, and ones that could envoke such emotion. Then one day my friend gave me this link to 'The Top 50 Instrumental Releases of 2005.' And that's when it all started to take off. Soon enough I had all of the 10 albums that make up the 'Top 10' part of the list. Let me say this, YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS MUSIC!
Both Godspeed and Mogwai could be described as having a 'post-rock' sound. The term post-rock describes a sort of music "using rock instrumentation for non-rock purposes, using guitars as facilitators of timbres and textures rather than riffs and power chords."
So, now onto the real meaning of my post. 3 things:
1) ' The Top 50 Instrumental Releases of 2005' can be found in the Decoymusic.com forums. Or by going to http://www.decoymusic.com/vb/showthread.php?t=6772
2) I am willing to help others out by sharing my post-rock music folder, but you have to do me this one favor:
3) Listen to my radio show Friday from 1-2pm EST. I will playing nothing but post-rock every Friday from 1-2pm EST. My school has a radio studio, so it's not just me at my computer playing music. It's an actual studio with a sound board and and all that other jazz. I have a slew of post-rock artists I want to share. Where at?
